Hello.
Has anyone rented a compact car through National or Alamo?
If so, what type of cars were you able to choose from.
I've never looked at that class of car before, but I am looking to save some money (as well as gas expenses) on my next trip, so I am considering it.
Thanks for any info.
For your first question, Alamo/National has mostly Chevrolet Cobalt's. Sometimes you will run into Dodge Neon's, but the Cobalt is the most common.
Just a word of advice, the rental companies are trying to get people to rent some of there gas guzzling cars (SUV's ; Midsize and Fullsize). To do this, they are giving drop dead excelent rates on these vehicles. Sometimes they are coming in under Compacts by a long run. Unless you plan on driving a TON in Orlando, the extra cost in gas will not outweight the money you save by renting the SUV.
