commericals we're sick of?

I figure we can do this post every few months since there are always new ones

My biggest pet peeves (aside from the feminine ones lol) ae the Capital One Credit Card commercials! the vikings, the mermaids... come on... cant we do better than that?


Another one is a local commercial with 2 guys that do a car dealership, the guys just drive me crazy. Its a well done commercial but it so scripted and the guys are so stiff, they just shouldnt do their own comcials IMHO.

So what commercials drive you crazy?

The Viagra commercial with Rafael Palmeiro. "My doctor said it'll work for me and that's why I stick with it."

Ok, Raffy, can I just say TMI!!!

The Geico Employee of the Month commercial. "He's really taken us to a new level" - ENOUGH already!

That subway commerical for the chicken pizziaola (DH calls it a chicken slapafatty). "nobody loves their chicken more than me". Actually, all subway commericals suck. I am pretty sick of Arby's oven mit, too.

Whats up with the Earthlink commercial, where the a guy's computer and subsequently his living room, become infested with flies because of all the "garbage" in his e-mail? That is SO disgusting. What the heck were they thinking? That seeing this revolting commercial will make us run and get service with Earthlink?

There's a commercial for some wine who's name and brand escapes me. It's of a beautiful woman, and most recently an elderly woman as well, who is talking to the camera. They both have very strong Italian accents.

And for the life of me, I can't understand a word they're saying. In fact, when I first saw the commercials, I thought they were speaking Italian, not English!

Whenever the commercials end, I yell out "WHAT?! What did they say!? I don't understand?! WHAT!?"

And my partner rolls with laughter. If I'm not in the room, he turns the volume way up so I can hear it no matter what. And I constantly run back in the room to hear it to figure it out!

Steven, the Dell dude, got busted for Possession of a controlled substance (Dude, your getting a cell!). Dell dropped him like a hot potato soon afterward.

The ones that driving me nuts are the Gieco "I just got some good news" commercials. You can see the punchline coming a mile away.

The commercial for the toe fungus medication, the one with the animated fungus guy, grosses me out. I can't remember the name of it now because I change the channel as soon as it comes on.

And I hate the JCPenny "where is your mother" series of commercials with a passion.

Chibijones, where did you get your screen name from? Just curious because "Chibi" is a very, very popular name in Japan for a dog. Much like "Max" is here!

Chibi is my cat's name. My BF is 1/2 Japanese. He doesn't speak Japanese, but he does know a few words. I think it means "little". His name started out as Ichiban, but got shortened.

I thought it'd be something like that! I'm half Japanese as well, and Scottish and Irish to boot.

"Chibi" is a derivative of the word "chisai" which means tiny or little. A loose translation is "little friend" which I guess is appropriate for a cat or dog, eh?

1. The Dr. Scholls "Are You Jellin'". Similar to fingernails on the chalkboard.

2. The VW commercial where the guy is sitting in the car while it's still on the production line. Ya know the one....we're supposed to think he's stuck in traffic. He gets frustrated and beeps the horn
and the auto workers stare him down. This guy reminds me of some ignorant guy that works for the same company I do. Makes me want to change the channel

3. The Tampax "I'm a Pearl Girl" commercials........AARRRGGGHHH. You just know some guy wrote that commercial.
