Does anyone have any comments-good, bad or ugly about Nine Dragons in Epcot? What has been your experience? Thanks for anything that you can share!

It's been a few years since we've eaten there, but it was very overpriced for Chinese food - and not that good.

We ate there last Feb and had the Taste of China lunch.
It was all-you-can-eat and we enjoyed it very much.

This is our least favorite restaurant in all of WDW...over-priced for Chinese food that we can basically get in our neighborhood. The decor is very pretty but that's not enough for us!

There are so many other wonderful restaurants, in all of WDW and especially in EPCOT, to enjoy. I would skip 9-Dragons.

We ate at 9 Dragons in late June and also had the Taste of China Sampler for lunch. All four of us (two 40 something adults , one 14 y/o boy and an 11 y/o girl) and we enjoyed everything very much. It was much nicer than a "buffet" since all of the sampler items were served hot and fresh by our server and you only ordered additional items you particularly enjoyed.

I've heard quite a few others here say that 9 Dragons wasn't very good and, to be honest, that's why we've never tried this restaurant on our many other trips. All four of us enjoy Chinese food and we found the food here to be good and a very pleasant surprise.

The Chinese restaurants we frequent locally are owned by people of Chinese descent so it must be authentically prepared. We found 9 Dragons to be on par with our favorite Chinese restaurants here--and that's not a bad thing. Yeah, it's probably less pricey at home--but, c'mon--you're in Disney--we all know we're paying far more for a meal than we do in our area. Although, lately anyway, I've noticed that it's not that much more expensive for the four of us to go to dinner at WDW than home.

Bottomline, we enjoyed it and will be back next summer. We will, however, continue to do the lunchtime Taste of China since it's (a) less expensive;
(b) has something for everyone; and
(c) it's tasty!

We make it a point to go here on every trip. We've been about 5 times! Our last time was in May. We have them make chicken with brocolli in brown sauce(not on the menu) and they make it so good! We love the atmosphere and the service is always great. We've only had a PS once, the rest of the time we just walked in and were seated right away at dinner time. Once we got a window seat and were able to watch Illuminations during out late dinner. The portions are large so we usually split the meal. I just ignored all the negative comments about this place and gave it a try and I'm really happy I did. You just have to take a chance. Here's their lunch menu:

Our experience with Nine Dragons was awful. We are not picky eaters and enjoy almost every Disney restaurant. Except this one! We would never, ever go back. It was very overpriced for food-court quality chinese food. The menu was limited and the service was terrible, even though it was not crowded.

My sister and I had lunch here in Aug. We also had the Taste of China lunch. We had a wonderful server and thought the food was delicious. My sister is a vegetarian and they went out of their way to prepare some of the dishes without meat.

We had a PS for 12:30 but arrived at 11:45 (we were too hungry to wait!). We were seated immediately and our server was VERY attentive. The restaurant is lovely and we had a delicious and leisurely lunch.

We thought the price for the Taste of China was very resonable. It was around $14 and it was all you could eat (even included ice cream!).

We would definitely eat lunch here again--in fact, we are planning to do so in Jan!

I have never eaten there, but I recently made a PS for lunch. While the trend has been for this restaurant to receive negative reviews, it seems most who tried the "Taste of China" have given good reviews. It allows you to try many different things, and you aren't stuck paying for one expensive dish you might not enjoy. I made my PS with this in mind. It really does sound like a good deal, and a chance to experience a restaurant I otherwise would have avoided.
