I keep reading about maintenance issues that occur during vacations and we all say, “report it while you are there”, but often the visit is just too busy and problems go unreported. I wonder if, along with all the other paper products they leave in our room, they should leave a check-list with comment lines asking if the guest was aware of any maintenance issues which needs attending, i.e., light bulb replacements, clogged drains, paint touch-ups. The card does not have to be fancy, just state what is for, where to leave it (in the room, at the front desk…) and a few blank lines for write-in comments. In addition to the card, an email could be sent from the resort with the same survey attached. In my opinion, if they did this, the survey needs to go back to the manager of the resort so the issues can be attended to at once. Yes, this will cost members money but in the long run, unattended maintenance issues cost members more money.

That's a nice thought, but in addition, I think if you personally notice problems during your stay, shooting an email to the resort manager (or another person you think it would be appropriate to contact) would be a reasonable route also. That's what my family and I do when we experience problems, or when really good things happen! It's nice to see a friendly email once in a while, too! :)

Absolutely! Where do you find the email addresses for the resort managers? Often there is a cast member who I want to "report" :) for being esp. wonderful and while I mention it at the front desk I never know if it goes beyond the cm at the desk.

I believe we just use the "contact us" info on the resort page, and on the main Walt Disney World page. They are always very good about responding to our emails, and we've even seen some changes happen after we reported it! (Others probably reported similar things.)
