Command strips for resort windows?

I plan to decorate our two resort windows for our Nov trip in a Christmas theme. If I want to string lights, do the command strips work best or do the suction cups work best?

We sometimes keep our room pretty cool and I am worried about condensation on the windows.

I have used command hooks at home on walls and doors with no problem, but when I used one to hang a wreath on my back door window glass it left a residue behind. Are you thinking about the trim around the window or the glass itself? You may want to stick to suction cups for the glass...(pun intended.)

command strips will hold, as long as the window is dry when you are applying them. If pulled off correctly should not leave any residue at all.

I had no problem using dollar store suction cups just on the corners. We also used a short extension cord, and a timer.
