We are due to arrive in Disney on August 4th. I can't believe it is finally here. I really want to begin our trip in a positive way since we are a group of 10 staying for 6 nights....

Our plane leaves NY 6:30 am due to arrive in orlando at 9:00 am. I am figuring by the time we catch the magical express and check in it will be noon. is that accurate?

We have dinner reservations at Ohana at 5:30...

Should we go to a park? Or just relax at the pool?
Any thoughts?
Thank you

I would relax at the pool. I would say you will probably get to the hotel around 11am.

have fun

My guess is a 10:30 arrival from ME. We have had such good luck with timing when we use it! Sinc e you are up so early, you might want to lay low and catch your breath the first day. You could always hop the monorail after your dinner and take in the sights or go to a park after dinner?

hi - we're from nj - and usually leave early like you - and i recommend staying at the hotel like the other posters recommend because unless you sleep on the plane you'll be tired - i'm not sure how early you have to leave the house - but i know that's it really early - one thing we usually do go to downtown disney for ice cream at ghiradelli's - we take a boat ride from port orleans - so it's a relaxing way to start a vacation - if the hotel gets boring - or you think that you want to move - use the time to tour some extras at your hotel
