Hello everyone just a quick introduction.

My name's Jeremy and I live in Brisbane, Australia. 21 years old and my only trip to USA was in 1991.

Even though I was only 4 or 5 I can still remember a little bit of it (home videos help). Me and my family went to Disneyland, Universal Studio's and Knott's Berry Farm... Probably went other places but I can't remember.

I'm currently planning a return trip with my girlfriend (well I'm planning and she's coming haha).

Basically what I've got so far is as follows:

Fly to LA in the first week of February 2009. Probably be staying at the Fairfield Inn, Anaheim. We'll have 2 Southern California City Passes each so we have 6 days (if needed) for both DL and DCA, 2 days in Universal Studios (again, if needed) and we'll be going to seaworld and both San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.

Definately going to Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain

While I think of it, how many days would you give to explore all of the above? Don't want to miss anything but we're young so we can move pretty quick :)

Also while there we want to go on the Warner Brothers Studio tour, the California Science Centre, go see the Hollywood sign, go to Speed Zone (go kart drifting pirate: ) and perhaps a starline city tour...

So far we've budgeted 17 nights in LA, might add a night or two depending on what you guys advise.

We'll be hiring a car for the entire stay so we won't be relying on trains/buses/etc.

We'll then be flying to Orlando (hiring a car while there again). Not too sure where we'll be staying yet, probably somewhere cheap and close to WDW. Will have a 7 day WDW Magic Your World ticket each so that should give us enough time to get around and see everything? Staying 8 nights in Orlando.

Is Universal Studios any different in Orlanda compared to the LA one? Is one better than the other?

Again, if you guys have any advise I would love to hear it, you're the experts after all :teacher:

I'm really excited to go back! Can't wait to go on the haunted mansion and Pirates of the carribean... oh and Space Mountain (almost fell out of that ride haha pitch black and unexpected dip) I've seen youtube video's and it looks really good now with all the lights etc.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! :woohoo:

Firstly, Welcome to the Dis!! I hope you have an amazing trip.

We too have planed a considerable all out trip in August, we are coming from England, but hey I have an Aunt and cousins in Brisbane (although we are not doing the WDW bit as we have already been 2 times for 2 weeks at a time with another 2 weeks planned for Christmas 2009/10)

Anyhow, our plan which I have researched a lot is:

5 nights at DL (at the GCH) which includes a day at Knotts Berry Farm

2 nights at Six Flags MM (we love coasters, I have ridden over 150 of them!!) We are staying at the Hilton next to the park with 3 park days so we bought AP's.

3 nights in Hollywood at the Rennaisance Hotel, we are going the Warner Bros, Sony and Paramount studio tour, plus Hollywood walk of fame, Pantages, Chinease theatre etc.

We are rounding off our trip with a week at the Bellagio, Las Vegas (we have been before, love it!) inc a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon (done it before and loved it!!)

If I can help with any of my planning and tips I have learned over the 18 months I have been planning this trip so far, let me know!! I hope you have a fab time!!
