Comfortable shoes for 9 year old girl

DD is 9 and wears a size 3-4 shoes. Every other time we've gone to Disney she's worn the white closed toe sandals from Stride Rite. They hold up well and are really comfortable. She would alternate that with sneakers and I've never had complaints with her about foot or leg pain.

Now those great sandals don't come in her size and when I shop for sandals for her they are all "designer" type of sandals. Cute and great for certain outfits but not for the walking we do at Disney.

She doesn't like to wear sneakers everyday at Disney. She has some New Balance flip flops but I don't now how well they'll be with miles of walking.

I swear by Croc Athens flip flops for me. Should I try out some croc flip flops for her too?

What do your girls wear?? That are comfortable and don't leave them complaining?

I love Tevas. They aren't cheap but I got DD, also 9, a pair for about $35. She is really excited to try them out.

Our daughter loves her crocs. She has a pair of the original design (I don't remember what they call those, "classic" maybe?) and wore them the entire 7 day trip we took in October. No blisters and no complaints of hurting feet either.

My DD now 11 has been wearing the same style Teva Tirra sandles for years. At Disney she usually alternates between her running shoes and Tevas. I just did a search for the Teva style she wears. Looks like Teva isn't making the Tirra in youth sizes but a quick search they did pop up on other sites. This year for our March trip she tried on a bunch of different sandles and went with the Teva Tirra - again. She is in women's sizes now so they had them at a local shoe store.

I was looking at the Keen's and Teva's on their sites. I liked them both and each pair was about $50 or more. I really like that the Keen's double as a water shoe!

I googled to see if any sites had them at a discount and I came across shoemall.com

I got her a pair of Keen Seacamp's and Teva Tirra for $75! It was $105 but they had a code for $30 off a $90 purchase. They also have $10 off of $30 and $20 off of $60 codes.

Just an FYI in case anyone else was looking to buy.

Absolutely.

Some styles of both Keens and Tevas are made of leather or suede or something I think and those you wouldn't want to wear in the water of course but the standard styles of Tevas are made for water.

Tevas are my go to shoes in the summer. I worked outside in the dirt and am barefoot most of the time and from whenever the snow goes away until whenever it comes back (almost, not quite) I wear Tevas. They are really comfortable and hold up really well also.

If you are looking for a cheaper option, we got some really good sandals at Gander Mountain. They are in the kids section and I cannot recall the brand but they are $20 and girls are pink/purple and boys are black. We got them last year and loved them, so I got new ones this year for our WDW trip. DD9 opted for the black boy ones! I have small feet so I can wear them also, and can vouch that they are pretty comfy.

I bought my daughter a pair of Teva Tirra from Ross for $10.99 and a pair of Teva Barracuda Sport for $8.99. My daughter loves them!!
