Hi I recently got a part time job as a bank teller. Previously I worked in an office so I'm not used to being on my feet all day. Can anyone recommend comfortable yet pretty shoes?

Thanks!

Yes! Liz Claiborne has a line of dress shoes that have rubber heels and soles, and are well padded on the inside. They are so comfy, but look very professional. I got mine at Belk's, and if you don't have a Belk store in your area, the site is www.belk.com.

Also, I'm a huge fan of Sofft and Born. I'm on my feet all day long, so these three brands have been wonderful!

Clarks. I'm a teacher and clarks are my go to teacher shoes. I also like Born. I try to catch them on sale but if I can't, I bite the bullet and pay for them. They are totally worth the price. When I was pregnant I only wore Clarks.

I bought a pair of mary jane style Sketcher's Shape Ups a few weeks ago and my feet don't hurt at all now. I'm on my feet all day, and can only sit down during a 30 minute lunch period so I'm glad I found them.

I'm on my feet most of the day (I'm a para educator) and I like Walking Cradles, Soft Walks, Born, and Azalea shoes.

www.6pm.com has wonderful prices, so you can try them out without spending a fortune.

Do they have anti-fatigue mats at each teller station to stand on? They should. Ask for them to get you one from the office supply catalog. They really help. Saves the carpeting too. ;)

oh how I wish this thread was up a week ago. I recently returned to work outside of the restaurant industry I had been for a few months. I started wearing my heels again and ended up with a stress fracture!!

Thank you everyone. I'm going to start to google these shoes to see where I can find them.

Thanks!

I work for a bank, too (outside mortgage sales), and have a position where professional attire is required. I love Soffts. They have a shoe that has a small heel that is sturdy without looking heavy or dorky. I bought my last pair at Dillard's on sale and love them.:thumbsup2

Klogs with a K.
I have tried every shoe that is supposed to be comfortable. Dansko, Clarks, Asics, Nike, Addidas, Naot, Nurse Mates, Crocs etc.
Klogs beat them all!!!:worship:
I work 12 hour shifts at a very busy hospital. NICU, PICU, CICU. I'm on my feet all the time and I have a bad knee. These shoes have been a god send. The best. Have 3 pairs and rotate them and they are really not that expensive. Check them out at Zappos.com.;)

Hi Quick question. I have been looking at all of these and there seems to be alot of different styles. Are all the styles made for comfort under these brand names or just certain ones?

Thanks!

Cole Haan (which is the upscale division of Nike) makes shoes (heels and flats) with the Nike Air technology. AND they are attractive, unlike alot of the names mentioned already.

I know for certain that Sofft and Born are all built with the comfort "stuff". Not sure about the rest. Try this site www.thewalkingcompany.com. We have one of their stores locally and they have all kinds of great, comfy shoes. (They run great sales, also!)

I did not know that. You learn something new every day.

As for shoes, I would also try Munro. They are pricy but OH SO COMFORTABLE. They have rubber soles and heals and the insole is just like that in a pair of tennis shoes. I have very hard feet to fit and I NEED very good shoes and these are by far the best I have ever found. Born are nice too but they aren't as dressy.
