I am in need of a new pair of "everyday" sandals for the summer. I have been wearing my Lands End slides from last year and my feet just start throbbing after a few minutes so I definitely think I need something with more support.

What sandals do you wear that are comfortable for lots of walking?

Thanks!

I wear crocs cleos. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I have walked all day at WDW in them without a single hot spot, which for me is a big deal! I think I have two pairs in reserve the last time I found them on sale.

I wear FitFlops all summer long. I wore them around WDW last year and had zero issues with my feet.

I wear Z-coils. They are expensive and pretty ugly, but they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I wear either Clarks or Crocs all summer long. Clarks can be found at Marshalls for cheap! :thumbsup2

Love...Love...Love my Teva's. That's all I wear as soon as the weather starts getting warm to when it's cooling down in the fall. The only thing I wear at the world.

Tevas! They are great!

I recently bought a pair of FitFlops and are breaking them in. So far, they are comfortable, too.

Just wore my Merrell's velcro sandals to WDW all week!! I got them at QVC not too budget at $90 but worth every penny! :thumbsup2

Sounds stupid but my comfiest pairs are my Aldo flip-flops. I can't wear any other type of flip-flops without them cutting in between my toes. Bought these during a blister filled trip to DC & have loved them ever since.

I asked something similar on the Themeparks Board recently and I was all set to get some Tevas flip flops but now I think that I might want to get a sandal with a heel strap. How are Tevas with a heel strap? Or any of the others?

I'm a Birkenstock girl.

They form to your feet, support where they should, and cradle the whole foot. The shoe is designed for a foot. Not for looks, not for style, but for a healthy foot.

Thankfully they've come out with cuter styles, but any Birk footbed is all I wear in Disney.

I have these, right now, which will probably be my staple next fall (with 2 back ups):

Birks are expensive, however start eyeballing eBay. I got those above sandals for $35, new, on eBay.

i have planar facitis from hades-and i just walked all over Vegas in my Scetchers Tone up Flip Flops with NO PAIN-they are kinda spendy-but soooooooooo worth it

ANYTHING by the brand EARTH.

Find them on Zappos.com or sometimes on SierraTradingPost.com

my mom has recently found them in her local dept. store (not sure which one).

I've been wearing them for YEARS and have started collecting them (sneakers, sandals, boots, etc.).

They are the original developers of this "new fad" of "exercise shoes" (skechers shape ups, MBTs, etc.)

Earth shoes are WAYYY more stylish and your feet/legs will  them!

I'll ditto the pp who suggested anything by Birkenstock.

They were my first love - but then I found Earth.

Now, I prefer the Earth, but have not gotten rid of my Birks and still wear them when they match an outfit better, etc.

Another vote for Keens. I feel like all I've done tonight is run around posting about Keen sandals. Lots of shoe threads tonight. LOL
Anywho, Keens are wonderful. I got my last pair here and they have a promo for 20% off..."Steal20". They have some sandals that are 60% off, plus the extra 20% off. :scared1: $97 Keen sandals for $31! Crud, now I might have to buy another pair at that price! :rolleyes1

Another vote for Crocs cleos. They don't look like they have a lot of support, but I can walk all day (in WDW or anywhere) and my feet never hurt. They are so comfortable, and cute as far as crocs go. Shoebuy has 20% off for Memorial day:) so if you decide today, they carry a lot of the brands mentioned in this thread.

I love my Birkenstocks and have 3 pair of the above shoe, another good place to get them is Sierra Trading Post, or if you're near a QVC retail Outlet store, they have them there as well.

I was just about to agree with you, and saw you already said the same thing, below.

I think Earth shoes are wonderful, as well - but (for me) I have wide(r) feet. think Scuba Fins, or flippers. Not really... but they're wider, and Birk's come in wider, and Earth (at least I haven't seen them??) don't.

Both brand do that...what is it called? Negative Heel something or other?

Both great brands. I agree. :thumbsup2

*I can't believe I'm going to say this but.....* My mom was right! She was right! UGH! I was a bartender for years and years. And I wore adorable heels, wedges, knee high boots - anything cool and sassy.

And my cool and sassy look turned into messed up feet. Pounding away on heels for hours a night, in crappy shoes (yet, very, very cute!) took a toll on my tootsies. My mom had warned me every night I walked out the door in 3 inch heels - "You're gonna regret that!!!"

So now - at 36, I can not stress enough - wear good shoes!!! Screw the looks (on an everyday basis) and go for foot health. Birks (and Earth) both are foot healthy.

Annnnyways - the Birk's hug my feet. They care for them. Hold them tight. Cushion my walk. They love my feet, and for that I love them. ;)
