Comfortable affordable flats?

I may have to check out the Sketchers go walks! I am used to wearing my Teva's mainly in the parks and swear by them! Sometimes a pair of flats just go good with a dress or if I want to do any Disney Bounding.

I'm not sure if they still have them on Zulily because I am not finding them when I search

I really like Converse. I have several pair and they are all so comfortable. I also have some sketchers and they are great as well.

I have wide feet, so finding comfortable flats can be difficult. I prefer Teva flip flops in the parks but if I'm going for flats then Tom's classic slip-ons have always been great. I've worn them for miles in Disney and Europe and did not have any problems!
I have found the canvas material to be more comfortable than the burlap. The canvas has more give.

I recently purchased some Disney Vans slip-ons and they are comfortable but I haven't tried them out in the parks yet.

Sketcher Go walk are the best. They even have a new one with yoga mat sloes, which provide lots of support. They are completely washable, which is needed because after a while, they do smell. They say that they are antibacterial, and aren't supposed to smell, but any shoe will get a little nasty when you wear them without socks. I use Dawn dish detergent to get out the smell. Buy two pairs so you can rotate them. I have wide feet, so their version of Tom's aren't very comfy for me, but the Bob's do have memory foam support if you want to know.

For running shoes, I recommend that you go to your local running store and get fitted properly. Often times, people are in the wrong size running/walking shoe. Like, I'm an 8 walking/dress shoe, but a 9-9 1/2 running shoe because my feet swell during runs. Getting fitted really helps. I love Brooks running shoes, but the shoe picks the runner, not the other way around. I desperately wanted the Cinderella New Balance running shoe, but its a neutral shoe, not a stablizing shoe. I bought the Cindy shoes, but I can't really wear them because even with insoles, they still cause my feet to roll in and pronate badly. (Yay for high instep and high arch! :crazy2:)

Whatever you pick, wear them before you go in order to break them in for your trip. As ugly as it is to wear my awesome stylish jeans with my running shoes, that's what I'm doing to prep my feet for the princess run (as well as running in them too!)

our last trip my DH insisted we all get nice, good, expensive shoes for our trip(also broke them in before we left) I did, and after the second day in them my feet hurt(more than the normal as I have feet issues) it was then that I pulled out my rather worn looking sketcher go walks, wore them the rest of the trip and my feet felt amazing. never got another blister and then truly didn't hurt. I am currently looking to get another few pairs and will be wearing them for the next trip.

Funny you mention that.
That goes against all advice I've ever gotten about running shoes.
They are supposed to feel perfect right out of the box. If they don't, they aren't the right shoe for your foot.
Matter of fact, it showed up as part of a list of running myths that I got in the email today. The last line of #1

I have an adorable pair of Crocs flats. That's right, you heard me, Crocs. I have a few pairs and I even wear them to work sometimes.

Sometimes your old standby is the best! I had a new pair of shoes that I was alternating with the Mevs in November at UO, but they just weren't working for me. Grabbed my old Rocket Dogs that I'd tossed in at the last minute and wore those instead. They've never let me down. I just wish they still made that style (they're like 10 years old!), because I would buy more in a heartbeat.

One of the tricks I use to help keep my feet fresh, I alternate shoes.
My feet get too used to a single pair of shoes, especially when you are talking putting 12 miles on them.
If I put the same pair on the next day my feet will hurt in much less time than the did the day before.
If I wear a different pair the next day it's like a fresh start.
I try to wear 1 pair and bring 2 others on a typical trip.

I usually hate my feet in tennis shoes all day so I prefer my Reefs most of the time. I do also bring my Croc ballet flats and my Vans (which surprisingly were much more comfy then any of my converse). I did bring my tennis shoes and ended up wearing them on our last day, they are Ryka brand and I love them. They are made specificity for women's feet.

And THIS. Alternating shoes is a must.

I wear Bernie Mevs in the parks. I like the Comfi or Cuddly styles. My feet aren't even tired on open to close park days wearing them. Ever since I started wearing them, I don't wear anything else in the parks. You don't want to wear a brand new pair- you need to wear them a couple of hours sometime before your trip so that they will stretch and mold exactly to your foot. Skechers makes a knock off, but they are not the same and not nearly as comfortable.

I have some Croc flats but they hurt my feet...mainly the back part on my ankle because it rubs it and the friction gets uncomfortable.

I do this too! I always bring sneakers and at least 2 pairs of flip flops and I alternate during the trip, it helps feet a lot!
