Have had good rates on both these hotels - need a few days to explore Universal (and International Drive) before heading off to a different hotel in/close to WDW. In October Clarion Universal is $52 (Entertainment rate) and Comfort Suites $58 (Hotel Kingdom).
We'd really like to walk to Universal (won't be getting a car - probably) and both seem pretty close - seems like we can use the I-Ride trolley to eat on International Drive in the evenings. The hotel shuttle buses to the parks are also an option.
Has anyone ever stayed in either of these two and if so, what do you think? Or maybe you have better ideas - want to stay within this sort of price range. I know that the Radisson is in a good location, but unfortunately booked up for our dates.
Oh, and as we're going around Halloween, would it be better to book soon, or can we afford to leave it for a while?
