I've been checking Comfort Suites Maingate, (I already have 2 reservations...tropical palms and days suites old town)...and I like 100% of the reviews I've read on this hotel.

Now the questions

From looking at the picture, it seems there is only a partial 1/2 wall seperating the sleeping from the living areas. I'm asuming that this was a 1bd suite, I have not found pictures of the king suite and wonder what difference this would make?

Breakfast I see is included- is it just the run of the mill stale donuts, cereal and juice?

Coffee maker in room? I see the small fridge and micro, wonder about coffee..

Pool- clean?

I will be using the e-rate guarantee choice offers and have found a rate of 54.67 per night for the 2 queen bed room....

Any info appreciated, and hopefully I'll stop searching for more hotels and just pick one!

if you mean maingate west.....

it is only a half wall, not a seperate room. don't know about any other room arrangements, we saw three rooms and that was the only type we saw.

breakfast was great: doughnuts (not stale) cereal, make your own waffles, bagels, biscuits, a little fruit and oatmeal, with juice, tea and coffee. If something had run out when you got there, it only took a few minutes for them to replenish it.

Pool: clean as far as I could tell and as warm as a bath.

coffee maker in the bathroom (why do they put it there, near the sink I spose!).

didn't stay at maingate east but sure someone could help.

Rate sounds good: we used roomsaver.com and got $51.99 + tax.

Have a good trip

I've heard that Maingate East (the one behind Old Town) is even better than MGW. It was voted the best CS in the US.

It also has the half wall. It does have a coffee maker. The breakfast is supposed to be really good.

I have not stayed here but did reasearch it last summer for a possible stay. Didn't stay because I ended up getting a week at Orange Lake for less.

I'm not sure which Comfort Suites you're referring to--we spent this past weekend at the Comfort Suites in the 7800 block of 192 (W. Irlo Bronson Highway).

It was a large hotel room with no separation at all between the beds and "living area."

There was a coffeemaker, refrigerator, and microwave.

Pool area was pretty but we don't like pools, so didn't use it and can't comment on cleanliness. We also don't eat continental BF (DH is low-carbing and can't get good food choices at continental breakfasts), so can't comment on breakfast.

Hotel in general was clean and in a safe area. There was a big grocery store (Winn-Dixie) and several restaurants (Cracker Barrel, TGIFridays, Outback, Subway, etc.) just steps away. Walls were thin and there was a lot of noise that awakened me several times each night.
