Hello!

Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East? If so, how was it? I have found what I think is a decent rate on the place. Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

A big thumbs up for the Comfort Suites Maingate East.

We have stayed there twice in the last 2 years. The most recent was May 2004. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Housekeeping does a good job with the rooms.

The free continental breakfast is a real money saver, the selection is good and includes: donuts, pastries, fresh waffles, bagels, muffins, dry cereal, 3 kinds of juice, coffee, tea and milk and fresh fruit and yogurt.

The pool is a nice size. There are plenty of chairs and towels.
Poolside is a small bar for liquid refreshments.

Location, location and location. Approximately a 2 mile drive to the entrance to the world, Publix supermarket nearby and several good restaurants are in the area.

This place deserves your consideration.:wave2:

Sounds good to me. When we stayed there we paid $49.00 a night. That was 2 yrs ago. Check with Comfort Suites directly, also ask if there is a nightly surcharge. I remember paying an extra couple of dollars for something, but can't remember what for.

Another thumbs for CIME! We've also stayed there twice in the last two years and really appreciate its location. It's a nice walk up the road to a number of different restaurants, and Old Town is right next door. The breakfast is great and the pool is really clean! I remember getting a $70/night rate in 2003 during Spring Break, and found the rates were quite a bit higher this past Spring Break - I think I paid around $85/night, but it was well worth it, especially with the breakfast included. There is a $2/night 'resort' fee I think...

In regard to the rate: check www.hotelmartusa.com for your dates and then check the rate at www.choicehotels.com.
If it is cheaper at hotelmart, book at Choice website and file a rate guarantee claim. You should get a quick reply and save an additional 10% off the hotelmart rate.

One caveat, the hotelmart is for 2 queen beds and not the king size bed so you must book the 2 queens at the Choice website.

If you need additional help, just post your questions. Have a great trip.:wave2:

Hi winterman!

In your opinion, is it likely to go below $55 on Hotelmartusa? I really feel good about this hotel and I would like to book now, but my trip is not until May 05. Should I wait and see, or book now?

I very much appreciate your advice.

My theory is this: if it is an attractive rate, I book it because my upside risk is greater than my downside potential.

Book at Choice website, do the rate guarantee. Your ressie through the Choice website is cancellable and your credit card is only charged upon your stay there. At $55/night from hotelmart, you will be paying $49.50 at choice website. This is a great rate.

Hi winterman!

I just made my reservation so I am very excited!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

if it is the comfort suites behind Old Towne.....

we stayed there in june for three nights ( timeshare promtional thingy but we did not have to take a tour ) ...we only had to pay tax and resort fee...something like 21$

they do charge a "resort fee" in addition to the tax

while we were there, they were installing "high speed internet access" into all the rooms

we definately would reccomend this place
