Comfort Suites Maingate East

Hi,would anyone have any experience or info on Comfort Suites Maingate East.I have it booked for nights before and after Disney POR stay mid June. Just wanting to know if I have made an ok choice.Thanks.

We have stayed there many times and have always enjoyed it.
It's a great price, decent breakfast, the pool is heated nicely
we would still be booking there if we hadn't finally tried staying on property!
no going back now!

Haven't stayed there in a couple of years but it was one of the better hotels on 192 and from what I hear it still is.I usually steer people away from Kissimmee in 192 and point them to stay in Lake Buena Vista or the south side of International Drive but this is one hotel I have no problem suggesting.

We stayed there in March of 2011. That is where my DS's marching band stayed. The rooms were good size and clean. The pool was a good size and the breakfast was pretty good. It is very easy to get to the parks from there. The only thing we noticed, and I had read this online before we went, was the elevators are slow. I requested a room as low as possible and got the second floor. We took the stairs most of the time. It was a good stay. We enjoyed walking over to Old Town for the old car show on Sat night.

I'm glad to see this post. We're staying there for a couple of extra nights before heading home after our timeshare week. It seemed to be well recommended on tripadvisor, but I feel even more comfortable now seeing the responses here.

I have seen a lot about it being near Old Town, but I have no idea what that really is. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to hijack a thread, but if any future responders have any insight into Old Town, that would be most appreciated.

Old Town is an entertainment center with carnival rides and games,themed shops and places to eat.I believe they have a car show on Saturday nights.

Whenwe stayed there we walked over to the old car show. It was cool to see the old cars. They had a band playing. Just google old town and it will give you a schedule ofnwhat goes on.

We stay there the first night every time we visit WDW. We like to spend a day at Old Town and Fun Spot USA. I really recommend getting a armband for Fun Spot so you can enjoy the go-karts and rides. For food Flippers Pizza is a good place to eat. I do have to agree the elevators are really really slow. Last year we checked in at 10am and was lucky enough to get a room on the first floor.

The next day we like to get up early and head over to our Disney resort and check in. We then head to Magic Kingdom so we can get a full day to start our Disney vacation.

We will be checking in on June 1st at Comfort Suites again this year.

You get good value from the place. I spent three nights there on non-Disney business (family matters) and I would stay there again. If I didn't get a good discount at Pop Century, it would have been the place I stayed in July.
