My DS is marching at the MK the last week of March 2011. DH is traveling with them and the rest of the family is going down too. They are staying at the Comfort Suites Maingate East. The rest of us were going to stay at the POP but the Comfort Suites is almost half the cost of the POP. So we decided to stay there also. We are driving so will have a car. We stayed at Sunset Lakes this summer and the drive was really easy.

For anyone that has stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East, did you like it? Was the drive easy? I know where Old Town is so pretty much know where the hotel is located. Other than renting a house this summer we have always stayed onsite. But we never do two trips so close so money is an issue that is why we are staying at the CSME. I'm just hoping that it is nice.

Any thoughts would be great.

It's been a couple of years but I've stayed there several times and don't have a bad thing to say about the hotel.Nice, clean rooms and a good breakfast. It's by far one of the better and possibly the best hotel on 192.

I usually don't recommend hotels because everyone has different tastes...but...in our 3 Disney trips (staying 14 nights each time) we have stayed here and just loved it. We loved having a deluxe breakfast waiting for us every morning.

The only thing we didn't like is the sofa bed is a little uncomfortable so we took turns sleeping on it during our stay. But that is nothing that could ruin your vacation. I also loved the location. There are so many places to eat nearby and also a Publix supermarket which we went to almost nightly because we are a family of 6.

We will be staying here on our next trip in August:goodvibes

5 years ago, my parents, brother and myself stayed there. The trip was a college graduation gift and we had 2 hotel rooms. It was nice having a sofa to sit on, instead of just the beds, and nice to have a fridge in the room. Breakfast was good too. It was also very convenient drive to the parks. Finding the hotel entrance was difficult to find at first.

I am heading back to Disney in April 2011 and currently have reservations at both Pop Century and Comfort Suites Maingate East. Staying at CSME would save DH and I $500. You would have to pay for parking at the parks but it would even out by not having to pay for breakfast. I'm holding out for a deal so that we can stay on property for the entire trip. If not, we'll do a split stay.

It has a pretty nice pool I must say. It is also right next to a lot of stuff that u can wall to. Although it is just a normal hotel so buyer beware. One year we used their bus service and it was very slow so I would only stay there is you have a car.
