Help! :listen: I'm leaving in just a few short days :cloud9: and I need advice on some things that have made your trips easier.
What about the most comfortable shoes? Any opinions on that?
Anybody try the gel inserts?
ANYTHING would help me, I'm trying to get finished with the packing. :tinker:

I always bring my pillow :). I will be wearing my Ecco shoes which I always find very comfortable! Both my sandals and trainers.

My gist of the must have items, to keep my feet happy are a pair of my old cheap flip flops. Cost me .99 few years back and are only worn and taken to WDW. Happiest things on my feet. Few other necessities: Absorbine Jr., rub on feet and legs after a tiring day of walking, best right after a shower, my binoculars, our portable DVD player and some movies, Florida cable is terrible, and some good novels. Everything else we take is mundane and everyone packs those items. But the above stuff keeps me and wife happy.

GUM! I chew gum ALL the time and Disney does not sell it anywhere in the parks, so if you're a gum chewer make sure you bring your own supply.

I brought slippers for shuffling around the room after a long day - nice and squishy under my tired tired feet.

The above poster's point about bad cable is very very true - bring some books or something else to entertain ya. :cheer2:

I know this is crazy...but I have to use MY shampoo & conditioner. My hiar is a giant mess if I don't .

moleskin. Even the best shoes can sometimes not prevent a blister and some moleskin will keep you going. Also ear plugs if you or anyone in your party has a problem with loud noise. Some of the shows and the fireworks are very loud.

Bodyglide. I haven't had a blister, or even a hot spot, since I discovered it (thanks to the Dis...).

I agree! My hair is scary in Florida humidity, it needs all the help it can get down there!!!!! :scared:

I forgot mine last week and sure enough I got a blister!

NurseJamie, thanks for the reminder about chewing gum. I usually have gum but will make sure I pack a fresh pack.

Not necessarily a necessity: I bought Glow Sticks at CVS pharmacy to use at nighttime in the parks. They are in the Halloween dept in the store and cost 99 cents each. As a bonus, they are NEON LIME GREEN. Even if you are not going soon, it may be a good idea to stock up.

Chapstick, emergency aspirin/ibuprogen, and dental floss. I can NOT stand stuff between my teeth! :)

I have learned to bring tummy stuff. Tums, Mylanta, immodium, whatever works for you. I love to try new food but sometimes it doesn't love to try me :rotfl:

I had to laugh when I read dental floss because I am the same way!!!! I have it
on the end table in the living room, in my purse, at work. I also carry it with me
at Disney. Also chapstick, sunscreen, a hat (my part will burn if I don't wear a hat) & my Nike walking shoes. That's all I wear on my feet!! :cool1: :cool1:

Blistex DCT (the little orange round jar). I cant go more than a couple hours without using this so I always bring 2 or 3, just in case 1 gets lost.

Must have...

Starbucks coffee- French Roast (strong) :hyper:
Pillow
Slippers
Shampoo and Conditioner
Chapstick
I am bringing 4 pairs of shoes. I am flat footed and need to change shoes in the evening. Otherwise I wouldn't make it the next day no matter how comfortable the shoe is. :cool1:

I forgot mine last trip too and I was panicking a bit until I remembered someone on the DIS said you can use deoderant too, so I got out my Secret stick and used that and no blisters! It is cheaper than Body Glide, but not as "dry" as Body Glide when it goes on. Worked great in a pinch!

My comfort item is my blankie. Well, actually, it's the silk from the blankie (the blankie part is long gone). I'm a Linus and I can't go anywhere for long periods of time without it. :rotfl: My wonderful DH even brought it to me when I was in the hospital twice for 4 days...rubbing the silk helps settle the nerves and gets me off to sleep. I know, I'm weird!
