Comfort Inn Davenport...thoughts

We decided to go to Disney and Universal next month. I found a fabulous fare on Southwest.com and started searching for nearby off site hotels to save money. I found Comfort Inn in Davenport and reserved it at $350 total for July 8-15th using the Choice Rewards prepaid plan. They charge my card the day before. I am so fine with that. Tripadvisor has great reviews?
Has anyone here stayed there before? Your thoughts?

I know where Davenport is in relation to the parks. I've stayed in a rental home for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving in Davenport so it's been driven before.

I just want to make sure the cheap rates didn't put me somewhere scary. It is booked for 2 adults 1 child. 2 Queen beds.

I think it's a long freaking way away from WDW and Universal. It's 20 minutes to Epcot and 40 minutes to Universal. That alone would be worth $20 per night for me and you can get a perfectly nice place closer for $70 per night. I would also consider VRBO and look at condos and townhouses. Contact them and ask for their best price. You are less than a month out and in the driver's seat to get a great rate. I once booked a 2-bedroom condo in Windsor Hills for just $420 including all fees 4-5 weeks out. Good luck!

The drive does not bother me. As stated our condo and villa rentals are usually in Davenport.

It gets great reviews and it's right off the highway. I wouldn't be worried about the area because that would show up in the reviews if it was questionable. You did get a great rate!

There should be nothing to worry about .

The Comfort Inn has been there for many years ( 14 or more ) (under Different names ) .

It is on Hwy 27 NORTH just OFF the exit from I4 ( 600 yards + at most )

There are a few other Hotels & Motels there as well as 4 or5 eating places ,

Posner Park Shopping Mall & Cinema are there as well Including Polk Co Visitor Center ( for info )

To get to Disney Just Turn Left onto Hwy 27 ( South ) & Next Left to join I4 & follow Signs

We stayed here for 4 nights three years ago when we went to Disney, Legoland and Seaworld and the hotel was great. In fact, we might be staying here a night after we leave Disney this summer to go to Legoland for the day. Here's my review of it on Tripadvisor if that helps:
