ISO adult Disney costumes

I have an adult pirate costume that we made for DD6 pirate bday party. I took my oldest pair of white capri (lightweight fabric NOT jean fabric) and shredded them with scissors up from the bottom (they look way cool) and then bought a 2x or 3x blk t shirt and shredded the sleeves up and cut a v neck so it looked scraggly(arrgh) and used a bandanna for my head and an eyepatch and one huge hoop earring, on the thigh area of the capris I embroidered a large red skull and crossbones,(size of a piece of white bread) and then on the chest pocket area(theres no pocket) I embroidered another scull crossbones (again bread size) (I think this ones white..hmmm maybe red...Ill check )under it i embroidered "Mad Dogs Mama" (cuz our DDs name is Maddi and we named her Captn Mad Dog) Have the size 4 matching pirate set for a size 4 as well.. Not Disney but cute and not HOT for the parks..DDs bday is in Aug.


ps...Im Pooh sized so capris xl and top 2x or 3x, Im a size 20.

I also have a bunch of dressup princess high heels in excellent condition, we have at least 6-8 pr, Id trade em for a pin or two a pair!LOL

No. I've not posted the list anywhere. I do think it's a good idea to keep a list of non-senders from the Trade thread too. Keeping it separate from the Exchanges non-senders list.

Seems to be a trend starting of people who don't follow through

I'm down a package myself and it's been an awful long time since it was supposed to have been sent. Quite possibly close to 12 months.

These people know who they are and it does make me wonder if we should name and shame them. Some still post on this thread too..

I'd be interested in knowing who is still posting here but not following through... I know I had a problem with my most recent trade but that's a USPS problem... not a Diser...

For two months in good faith, i gave misricsmith the benefit of the doubt. I've had many great trades here so i rationalized why she didn't send her trade (illness? vacation? no computer? crazy busy life?) But as soon as she rec'd my package, (sent priority mail, receipt confirmation) she even began ignoring my PMs.

Even if for some strange reason she didn't like them, there was no communication to that effect. They were 'brand new with tags' Cinderella PJs from disney store. I also included a few little toys for her other kids. In one of my unread PMs, i said if she didn't like them, she could return them and still keep the little things for her other kids. No problem! But nothing, no reply to my un-read PMs.

The bright spot is that the DIS still ROCKS! I love how everyone sticks together! Thanks soo much and for ALL the support, even people i've never traded with.

Since some of us started posting about being burned, other PMs have been sent and actually read by the offenders - so 3 weeks ago misricsmith sent one saying she'd only been home at that point for vacation for "5 days"!? But still nothing about keeping her part of the trade, only anger about what others had said.

Eh, whatever. C'est la vie. As my dad ALWAYS says, "Some people are more to be pitied than despised".

That is such a shame, I'm sorry to hear that. Some people are unbelievable but I too am waiting to hear from my trader.

I think we should make a list here of those who don't follow through!!!What a lousy thing to do, beyond rude. I know most of us are totally on the up and up but I'm always so saddened to hear when others are hurt!

I totally agree with you. What goes around does come around and one day these people will get a tatse of something they don't like.

I have started a list of those who have not followed through with their trades... if anyone wishes to add a name to the list, send it through and I'll pop it on the list.

Some of us are out of a pocket a lot of $$$ and others a smaller amount, but it's not the $$ amount that is the issue. It's the fact that certain people promised to send something and haven't done it. It's the principle of the thing... if you don't intend to send, then you don't need to post that you have anything for trade either. I know of someone who has traded with locals (US Citizens) since she was supposed to have traded with me and still posts her available stuff here from time to time

Ok, so I'm not a US Citizen.. but do bear in mind that I'm quite prepared to send anything I might have International post and no it's not all that expensive to send stuff to Australia. I know how expensive International mail can be and I also don't ask for anything I know will be weighty. There has been an occasion when I enquired about something, not knowing just how heavy it may be and the person I enquired from, replied nicely and advised me that the weight of it and the cost to mail it would kill the trade and that's fair enough. But when it comes to little lightweight things, like pins and lanyards... I kid you not, they would only cost a couple of dollars if that to mail.

Now I"m hoping everyone I've mailed stuff to got it! LOL! I am not always the fastest to get to the PO but I am sure to send things out!

I only had one experience anywhere near that. Sent someone a bunch of Disney Dog shirts brand new... she was going to disney a few months later and was goign to send me something... never did. I emailed her a few times.. didn't hear back. I dno't even remember her screen name.

I just kind of wrote it off as a loss

Trades have slowed down in general here lately I think. Im waiting on my last trade from Theresa and then I think im going to bow out for a bit until things get a little better around here. I dont mind so much counting things off as a loss... but sometimes I send things priority and I have had up to a $20 shipping charge.. and ofcoarse- if this happened to me I would be eating that. I feel sorry for everyone who has been scammed around here!

I'm not going to read through all of the posts here, so hopefully I'm not doing anything against any rules. Plus I may be the only guy to do this.

Anyway, I'm not new to the board but am new to this thread. I am going through one of those "taking stock of my life" phases and realize I've got way to much stuff (so much that I feel like a George Carlin sketch) . One of the things I've realized is that I'm a Disney-aholic and have way to much stuff and It's taking up too much room.
