Come to Minnesota

I think you should have a DIS meet at the mall of America in Minnesota. They have a pretty new hotel attached to it for you to stay. I've never been able to go to any and would love to meet everyone. Could go shopping afterwards. Nice bars to go drink around the mall.

That sounds like a really good place to hold a GKTW meet. The way these things work is that some local people get together and organize the event, which usually grows in size/complexity as time goes by. In New England, they just had their 4th meet (very successful if I might add) and area already making plans for the next one.

Why not contact some other Disney fans (or just charitable minded friends) in the neighborhood and see if you can organize something? Start out small, say just a one-night kind of thing with a gathering in a conference room. See what kind of interest you can drum up. The Podcasters love to participate in these meets as long as their schedule permits.

Remember, this is all to support a worthwhile charity, Give Kids the World any anything that people can organize to help that cause is greatly appreciated.

But, like Jeff said, this is something we do "in the trenches"! These are community organized events that we hope the Podcast Team can attend. Our goal is to make money for Give Kids the World!

Theree are many of us (New Jersey, New England, Nova Scotia, Hershey, Delaware- just to name a few) who would be happy to give you a few pointers or ideas to get started. Also, GKTW has a very helpful group of people who will send you a packet of ideas for putting together fundraising events in your area.
