I've read some not so good reviews regarding CRT for breakfast. How in the heck bad can it be, especially for a meal like breakfast??? How can you mess up breakfast? What types of food items are available for breakfast? I looked at the lunch menu and didn't care for the choices and we wanted this for our dd and me too for our 1st morning at the MK. After hearing the bad reviews, it has me concerned now:confused: I already made ressies and am so thankful we got booked as I hear ADR's for this are hard to come by and that is why I wondered, why so many negative reviews. I know you are going more for the experience, etc but how in the heck bad can it really be with the breakfast options. Does anyone have any pics or anything else they would like to share. THANKS!

PS I am kind of concerned since we aren't staying on the monorail route for our resort, how big is the picture package to see if we can put it somewhere in the backpack we carry while we do MK all day long, ya know? THANKS!

We kept the photos in our backpack all day. If it bothers you, you can backtrack down Main Street and rent a locker for the day.

CRT breakfast. Each person is served a plate of food that includes fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese danish, French toast and potato casserole. Even though it's pre-plated, it is an all-you-care-to-eat meal, meaning that you can ask the server for more of whatever you want, and it will be brought out to you (it's not like you'll be brought a second plate of everything).

The food was just fine. And the character interaction was great! My only complaint was the cost. It blew my mind that for 2 adults, a 6 year old and a 4 year old I paid about $125. For breakfast. Six months in advance!!! I joked with my wife that for $125 I would be eating about a pound of bacon that morning. My wife, a physician who knows my cholesterol level, suggested that I instead get my money's worth by getting a lap dance from Jasmine ... I knew there was a good reason I married that woman! :rotfl:

But seriously, I had no complaints about the food. It wasn't the best breakfast food I've ever had, but it was fine. As you said in your post, you are going more for the experience. And for the look on my 4 year old little princess' face and the photos we have (that we took ourselves upstairs), it was worth twice what we paid. And that's the bottom line for me.

They will send your photo package to your resort it you ask. You can pick up at the gift shop the next day. We have always enjoyed the breakfast there. The restaurant is beautiful!

One does not go to character breakfasts for the food, especially CRT. One goes for (and pays for) the experience of being with the princesses, especially Cinderella. That is why it costs so much. Some people might complain that the food is not worth the cost being paid, but that misses the point that the cost is not about the food. But, in the end, you are right: it is breakfast and, therefore, hard to really mess up.

My reason to go to CRT was always the food. Now, because of the steep price, I won't go anymore. I like the fresh fruit, the fried cheese danish, bacon, eggs, juice, etc.

actually the breakfast was the best I've had in any restaurant. We are going back again on our next trip just for the breakfast. Part was the skill of our server(right on top of things w/o being in your face), part was nice calm atmosphere and quiet character interaction but mostly it was the food. ;)

We had the last breakfast seating so that might have played a big part in the quiet atmosphere though.

I thought the food was pretty crummy for the insane price. I'm glad I did it once, but I won't be wasting my money again.

Well, until my granddaughter is old enough and wants to eat with the princesses.;) I'll probably get suckered in again at that time.;)

I thought it was a beautiful breakfast! Yes, it's just basic breakfast foods but the presentation was wonderful and we found everything to be delicious! I think some people look at the price and think they should get steak and eggs or something like that for what they're paying, but that's not what you are paying for here. Don't be concerned - go and enjoy a lovely breakfast in a beautiful setting surrounded by the princesses!

the last time we went was in Jan 2004 & the food was fine - in fact we thought it was quite good. the highlight of the breakfast for us was the french toast stuffed with cream cheese. we booked CRT for breakfast this Sept. i just noticed on the menu here on disboards that french toast is not listed. can anyone please tell me if the french toast is still there or not? that will definitely be a disappointment if it is no longer on the menu.

We loved the b-fast here! It was delicious. It is really beautiful in there as well. I really did not think it was any more over priced than anything else at WDW. If you have a DD I think it is a must atleast once. I am taking my DD again is September.

I love this part about Disney... send it to the resort!

I didn't find anything bad about the food.... except I didn't realize exactly how much pork would be on my plate and I don't eat pork (ick). I ended up giving the bacon and sausage to my DD's since theirs didn't come with any. They had french toast sticks and I think eggs? I can't remember exactly. The adults got this incredible to-die-for (literally~I can still feel my arteries clogging! :rotfl: ) deep fried cheese danish thing... oh it was heavenly!!! I also had scrambled eggs? and hash browns if I recall? The fresh fruit bowl and bread/pastry basket was very good too. It comes before the actual breakfast :)
It was our first time dining @ CRT for breakfast and we'll be doing it again this August

there is nothing wrong with the food, it is good but thes cost is WOW!.
We did dinner 1 time and BF this time, both on DDP, but for 2 TS the dinner is better value even if you don't greet with princess. We only saw 4 other princess and we saw the same ones earlier in the week at Storybook BF.
Now that we have done this for the experience, we won't be doing it again in the future. It is a nice 1 time experience.

We must have been there on a bad day. It took FOREVER to get seated, even longer to get served, the interaction was similar to the one I get at the inlaws (cold, distant, and rushed), and I kept thinking of other places we could have spent the $$$$$ on - Cali Grill, Kona, O'Hana. It was our first time at CRT and everyone was really looking forward to it. We have been going to WDW for years and were unable to score resies untill the last visit. Even my DD11 was less than thrilled. She got a nice picture though...

The food was awful .. Our server was awful ... But the look on my DD's face as all the princesses came over and as she made her wish with her wand TOTALLY PRICELESS pixiedust:

It always amazes me on how different everyones experience was. We had a blast. Maybe it was because of my 3 year old who is in total awe of Cinderella. We got an awesome picture of the two of them. The food was very good better than most breakfast food at WDW. The fried cheese danish was yummy with blueberries on top of it. The princesses were really great and the Castle well what more can you say it is the Castle. Yes the price is high but you are paying for princesses and the atmosphere. We will definitely do it again. It's very popular. It is a great way to start off your trip we went there on our first morning.

Have fun!
