Hi everyone,

It's that time of year again! My Intro to Human Communication students just finished our unit on WDW and communication and we are moving on to learning about online fan communities. Last April, a bunch of you participated in a chat with my students to give them the feel of chatting with members of a virtual community.

WebmasterAlex has once again set up the chat room for this activity. Here are the details:

When: Today (11/20) two time slots (for two different classes) 12:00 - 12:50p EST & 1:00 - 1:50p EST
Where: The chat rooms here at the DIS
What: All I'd like you to do is chat with the students. You could ask them about their studies, what they learned/enjoyed about the Disney World Unit, whatever. I just want them to get a brief taste of being involved in a community like ours.

Hints/tips:
1) you may try to call on those by name who don't chat much...pull them out.
2) these are freshman so....avoid alcohol talk (unlike last year)

Hi Dave, I'm Italian so my English isn't that good but if Friday night I'm at home (we have +6 hours from the florida time) I'll be happy to join you. I'm 20 years old so I think I must be their age. What you teach interests me a lot! Is this a University course you are teaching?
