C'mon now people - the ADR's for LeCellier are nearly impossible to come by! Doesn't everyone know how terrible this place is?? ;)

The restaurant is kinda dark inside.

What other bad sounding things can we say without making stuff up? :rotfl:

We're going to have to skip it our next trip - no dinner reservations to be found!

They should really just serve the soup with the bread. I mean, you actually have to order it. And it's just sooo good with the bread, they should just let you have it. ;)

I thought you were serious, lol.

No kidding here. LeCellier just did not do it for us. We gave it three shots over a several-year period. Overpriced steaks, which were not any better than what I can get at my local grocery store. Service is hit or miss, and half the tables are inches within another.

Probably the biggest reason we won't return, tho, is because of all the incredible choices there are in Epcot. I have REALLY good steakhouses at home. I don't, however, have really good Norwegian food, really good German food, really good French food, really good Moroccan food at home. We just can't pass up the opportunity to try interesting ethnic foods for a steak -- especially that quality of steak (now, the filet & mac at Jiko is another story!).

But to each his own. We're adventerous eaters. Obviously lots of folks like more mainstream dining like steak and potatoes.

Honestly, it's always a little too crowded. :grouphug: That's never stopped me from eating there though.

lol -- the title of this thread totally fooled me!

Le Cellier is pretty dark and sometimes crowded, and occassionally the service is really slow (once we were there for two hours, just b/c it was someone's birthday and they took forever bringing the free mousse out!), but I love the French dip and I'd die for those pretzel bread sticks. And the niagra refresher (now boringly renamed a mango smoothie)? Don't even get me started!

Crowded, noisy, slow--yep. But, I love that cheese soup! I like a good steak, but I always get the salmon at LeCellier.

We finally ate at the Crystal Palace during our last visit; most people seem to love that place. We thought it was awful. Maybe the breakfast is better.

Definitely noisy and crowded!!! I was super squished in the bank seating and almost knocked elbows with the couple seated next to us.

(Although, it seems like a small price to pay for the cheese soup and pretzel bread ;))

Oh I absolutely agree with you there! Luckily I don't think we need to be so :ssst: about Jiko since it's so far off the beaten path!

Last night I told DH that it's going to be either Jiko or Yachtsmen this trip and we did Jiko last trip. I think I'm going to cave though! :rolleyes1 And if I had to choose I think I'd choose Jiko over Yachtsmen! Unless we're splurging for the Chateau Briand - now THAT'S STEAK! :hyper:

We had never been to Crystal Palace until our last trip and we did both breakfast and dinner. Dinner we thought was really lame, but breakfast was AWESOME!!! :goodvibes

The two restaurants we were looking forward too had very bad service...the other five were fablous though!

We found our server rude!!! It took about 45minutes to be seated with an ADR and when we were...our server asked where we were from...when we said Canada his tone changed...he was rude to our dd's...he grab all the glasses of the table an said I better take the glasses and silver wear before they break it all! Ok fine maybe another child did this but he could of said let me please take that away so they don't get hurt...we asked for a cup of tea at the end of the meal and he said you can't have tea...I explained we don't mind paying extra for it even though we are on dining plan...he's response was I guess...he brought warm water with a tea bag...no spoons or milk...we could not find him to ask for any either...waited almost an hour for dessert...our ressie was for 5:50 and we got out just after the fireworks started!

I know you were kidding when you made this post but we'll be trying somewhere different on our next trip;)

OMG - what an awful server! :sad2: No one should have to deal with service like that. I hope you found a manager and complained!

What are the other restaurants you mentioned?

All I can say is stay away from the Maple Creme Brulle...

It is SO addictive that you will start to dream about it...

Oh please don't say too many good things. I am having trouble NOT changing my Chef's plan for Le Cellier!! I make ADRs in 17 days and I keep flopping back and forth!

And the STEAKS! Good grief, you'd think that when you stuck your fork into it, it would stay on the fork! I mean, who wants to eat a steak that's so delicate you can't even get it to your mouth! And the soup! Who wants beer in their soup? And who ever heard of pretzel bread? AND IT"S IN STICKS! It makes it hard to butter. The only thing it's good for is dipping in that beer cheese soup. They put alcohol in the dessert too!:scared1: Whiskey cake? Don't they do anything else in Canada besides have a good time?

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :dance3:

My son threw up the last time we were there.

(shh...it wasn't the fault of Le Cellier, it was a kid on vacation eating too much junk problem. I thought it was help the cause, though! ;) )

CM- we waited over an hour to be seated with ADR's and once seated we didn't have a waiter...no drinks and had to find someone to pay the bill too...food was not good either and characters were rush!

Le Ceiller did have really good food we just had bad service. We never complained to the manager as we really wanted to see the fireworks that already started. We did mention to the cm at the door though as we really didn't want to wait for the manager.

You're right it is hard to butter. I wouldn't have to bother with the butter if they just GAVE ME THE SOUP.

That pretzel bread is just awful dipped in the mussell sauce full of bacon & potatoes!:rotfl:
