Combining points via transfer

I have 2 points expiring. Can I combine with another contract (diff UY/resort) with 9 points and use them with an 11+ point reservation at 7 month window?

You can not transfer the points expiring. However, you can call and have points that are not banked or borrowed from the other contract to make a one night.

You just need to make sure all points transferred are eligible for the night you want. Once transferred those points can not be borrowed back.

For example, I could transfer Aug 2021 points into my Dec UY but would not be able to use those points for any trip prior to August 1st since transferred points retain their own rules.

So just to get specific....I was thinking of moving Sept 21 UY fo Feb 21 UY contract (2 points expiring) to make a Jan 22 reservation so I think it works. The Jan is already reserved so I would just ask MS to do the transfer and rebook? It’s just a one night stay. I’m double checking so I won’t have to cancel anything today that would prevent me from messing anything up.

A Jan 22 reservation had to have been made during the 11-month home resort priority window. You mentioned in your OP that the points you wish to combine are under two different UY/resorts. That means that you cannot use the combined points to apply to the existing reservation at this time (transferred points would be a different home resort). You cannot point morph transferred points.

The only way that you could use those transferred points for that reservation would be if the same room is still available at 7 months. MS could then do the transfer and reallocate the points so that the transferred points could be used before any current UY points from the Feb UY.

That’s what I was thinking.
