I have 5 gift cards for a total of $400. I see people go into the website and combine the cards. I’m not really sure how it works and was hoping someone can walk me through It. I’m confused as if all the amounts get put on a card I pick or if I need to get another card.

Here is some info:

I've only added physical cards to a digital cards, never combined physical cards to one, so you may need to buy a digital card first. That page links to a FAQ that might answer some questions.
No need to buy a digital GC! I only combine physical gift cards onto one.

No need to buy another card. You go to disneygiftcard.com, sign in with your disney login, click on 'add a gift card', put in the info, then add another, and click transfer balance. You pick which card to transfer to, then you can delete the zero balance card. Then add another card and do it again. I always delete the card I have transferred to at the end, no need to keep it on there.

If you are combining physical cards, keep the card that you have loaded all the money on in your wallet. I have been asked to show the physical card when returning an item. You do not have to buy any additional cards. Once you have loaded them all in the site, just pick one, and transfer all the others to it. They make the process very easy. If they are all e-cards, perhaps take a screen shot after you are done consolidating the cards, in case you can’t access the site for any reason.

I have had one physical card I have been using for years, as the number printed on the card is larger and easier for me to read when I do Mobile Orders. I have moved money from both physical cards and e-cards to that card over the years and it was very easy. One time I had 20 $25 cards to consolidate, and it was very simple.

My next question - I thought you just scan the gift card when you do Mobile order. Do I have to type in all the numbers? So many things have changed since I was there in 2019.

It may depend on your gift card. As I mentioned, I have been using an older card. Newer physical cards may have a QR or scannable bar code on them. Many people have used the hack of entering the card number in Notes on their phone and doing a copy and paste when ordering. I didn’t have any luck doing that either, so it’s faster for me to just type in the number.

Thanks for info. I have new Disney gift cards with the bar code, so I can just scan the bar code.

Just a caution about the Disney Gift card site: don’t store the gift cards on there. Delete them all after you are done combining them. There have been reports of cards & balances disappearing over the years. If you need to check the balance or combine more cards, you can just enter them again.

You cannot scan a gift card on Mobile order, as you have to pay in the app. So yes, for mobile order, the gift card number must be entered in each time.

I thought that was the case, but I haven’t done a mobile order for a few months, so I didn’t want to assume. Good to know it hasn’t changed.

This is an old thread but I just used the helpful advice and wanted to say, Thank You!!
