I just learned that my husband's union offers a discount for Disney tickets, so my question for all of you budget savvy people is. . . can I combine this discount with AAA or Undercover Tourist? Hoping to get a room only discount for January 27- Feb 4, it is value season and in 2011 we got 30% off our Fort Wilderness cabin and skipped free dining. Looking for as much value as I can, not interested in Y.E.S. program. Thanks in advance!:)

You could get your room with a AAA discount by calling WDW once the 2014 AAA rates are announced. Then buy your tickets with your husband's discount if it's the best price.

You can't stack discounts.

I think Op can do this.... if you mean a room discount, buying your tickets separately- but I assume if you get them thru DH's work, that's where you buy them,or thru another place, like AAA, it's either one broker,or the other....

I would book my room only reservation through Disney or travel agent and get 30% off if I don't do free dining(at least that was the offer when we went February 2011) If they do a room only discount I'm afraid it will only be 20% for moderates, that is what Disney is offering for summer. Then my husbands union gave me the numbers I need to get a discount when I call Disney to get my tickets, but I am wondering if I go through AAA for tickets(not a huge discount to buy them at AAA) if they would take the union discount off?

We went last in February 2011 and paid $2830 for 8 days of base tickets and 7 nights at the fort wilderness cabins, if I price it out now with 2013 prices(and I have heard prices will go up again before Feb 2014) same stay time, same tickets (my kids tickets are the same one child is still an adult price) with 0 discount because as of right now they don't have one out yet and it comes to $3482, THAT'S $650 HIGHER THAN A COUPLE YEARS AGO! Just trying to cut expenses a bit!:thumbsup2

Depends on whether your husband's union will give an extra discount when you show your AAA card or whether AAA or Undercover Tourist will give an extra discount when DH shows his union card. Almost certainly not in both cases.

The various entities purchase the tickets from Disney in bulk and price the tickets to their customers/members the way the entities want to.
