Combining dining reservations

Hello Everyone! We originally had a party of 9 going in a week; however, one person back out and we now have a group of eight. Prior to the individual back out we had to break up our party size for dining reservations which was no big deal; however, we now hold three separate reservations at Ohana for the exact same time, one for a party of 4, 3, and 2. It was originally booked this way because there was no availability for the full party of 9, but there was room for two parties of four or the way we currently have it booked. Do you think they would be able to combine the reservation for 3 and 2 making it a single reservation for four if we call the reservations line?

Just a thought (and I do tend to overthink it sometimes!). You might be able to go from 3 and 2 down to one table for 4. I don't think they have any actual tables for 3, so that reservation would likely be at a table for 4 anyway. It's probably worth a call to see if they can accommodate something like that. In fact, it might make someone else's day if they could free up that table for 2! Good luck!

Have you tried to modify the 3 to a 4 in MDE, then you could just cancel the 2.

I tried modifying both and no availability even when trying to make the party of 3 into 2.

That's what we are hoping, but we would like to make it one party of 8 considering they are all at the same time. I guess I will have to brave the phone lines

If all else fails and you can't change any of them, just check in for all of them in person at one time and tell the CM how many people and that you'd like to sit as close together as possible. They'll figure it out from there.

I did brave the phone lines and they would not modify them out of fear the reservation would be lost while attempting to do so. They did say just let them know that we are all one party and they may be able to seat us all near each other, but a lot of places are limiting party sizes due to Covid.

In December, when restaurants were limiting party sizes even more than now, our party of 9 was seated together at Mama Melrose, LTT, Beaches n Cream, Homecomin' and Biergarten. The only one that separated us was Sci Fi, which of course doesn't have cars that large. So hopefully all will work out for your party, too.
