Combining Annual Pass and Disney Visa discounts?

Both AP and Disney Visa give you 10% off at, for example, certain restaurants. If you present your AP and pay with a Disney Visa, do you just get 10% off (i.e. you could pay any way you wanted and get the same discount)? I’m sure that’s the case, but I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. Are there any discounts between AP and the Disney Visa card that you can double dip on or is it always one or the other?

hope it's OK if I chime in. we ate at Hollywood and Vine in April. bill was over $300. used Disney Visa rewards card to pay for part of the bill, the rest went on a Disney gift card. they gave us the 10% DVisa discount and nothing went on that credit card. saved over $30.

It's one or the other. Restaurants are generally 10% for both Visa and AP. Merchandise is 10% for $50 or more spent on Visa or 20% discount for AP (any amount spent). You have to use your Visa to get the Visa discount. There is not any situation where you can double dip.

Thanks. With an AP, it looks like the visa card is really only useful for the character meet and greets and shop Disney discounts. Still worth it for the one with no annual fee.

You will still earn Disney rewards dollars on anything you use it for on vacation too. Not a lot, but over the course of the vacation it could get you a few more rewards dollars for your next trip. 😂

The card without an annual fee only gives you 1% and my regular credit card gives you 2% back on everything so I don’t see me using it much other than ShopDisney. The 10% off is nice.

Another thing to watch for - and this is exactly why you can only take one of those discounts- Is that Visa card discount has to be actively applied by the person running the transaction. It's not like a target card where it automatically takes it off. ( unless they've done a major update recently) If they aren't paying attention and you forget to say anything, they will ring you up and charge your card at the full rate without the discount.
