Combi Flare or Maclaren Triumph?

I'm looking for good ole honest opinions as to which stroller people prefer/suggest. I want something inexpensive, light, folds easily and reclines.
Help!

Me too..i just saw the combi at BRU the other day and I am really liking it ...would love opinions...

I've never seen it in person, I'm still in my research stage, how well did it fold up? Was it heavy?

I have an older Combi. It is an older model but the only difference I can see is that fabric colors. It is super compact and light. The basket is tiny. It could difficult for tall adults. I am 5'3'' and have no problem pushing it. When folding it you need to lock the front wheels or hold them in place while folding.

I got rid of my combi when my youngest was two b/c she outgrew the seat and it was becoming difficult to push. IMHO the mac will last you longer.

I was leaning towards the Maclaren and hearing that it will last us a while helps with the decision. Our girls are still little so we'll be using it for a long time to come.

I did not test Maclarens, but I did just buy a combi Flare. I really like it- DH is 6'3", and I am 5'7", and we felt that the handle bar was tall enough for both of us to push easily. It folds pretty easily, although it can be a little difficult to master the trifold the first couple times. It is only 11lbs, and has a carrying strap attached to the back. It doesn't recline all the way, but I just needed a slight recline since DS is almost 2. The basket is really small, and can be difficult to get into while the child is in the stroller, but that wasn't a major factor for me, as I bought hooks to hang the diaper bag. I also added a cupholder, which was actually harder to install than the stroller assembly.

The price was also incentive for us- a local store had it for $89.99, and I had a 20% off coupon. Overall, I think it is a really nice budget stroller. If you have a certain combi infant seat, it will attach to the stroller also.

I found a thread on here that said Babye-store.com sells both brands at a discounted price...older model ones too! Maybe check it out? They have Maclaren's as low as $69!!!!!

I went to BRU and let my dd (3 at the time) sit in a Combi and a Maclaren and she was more comfy in the maclaren. Dh and I liked how easy it was to push around too, so we went with that. I believe that the Maclaren seat was wider too. and she likes that you can extend the seat and she can put her feet up with her legs crossed pretzel style.

I'd go with the Maclaren!

I looked at both and the Perego P3 last year. I almost went with the Combi, but saw another child (aprox 2 yrs) riding in one and the wheels were wonky. I decided that it wouldn't work very well for my niece (4.5 yrs) and the seat seemed really narrow and then got wider at the back.

I ended up buying the P3 and I'm very happy with it. I know a lot of other posters really like the Maclarens.

Actually I have both. And I wouldn't even give the Combi away to someone... that's how much I loathe that stroller! With a child much over the age of 2 it just doesn't push well and it becomes a pain to turn too. The seat is also really narrow... which isn't very comfortable for a bigger kid.

The Maclaren continues to push well even with bigger kids in it. My 9 yr. old sat in it some after she hurt her ankle on our last trip. She's 55 pounds and I had NO trouble pushing her in it.

If you want a stroller you can use until they no longer need one... I would definitely go with the Maclaren!!!

These were my exact choices last year! I couldn't find a Flare to test drive, but did look at a similar model (the name escapes me). I thought the Combi felt a little flimsy with my 45 lb son in it (fine with the 25 lb son). The Mac was easy steering with both my boys (they are 19 months apart). Both strollers were pretty easy to fold, both were around the same weight and both had the carrying strap (great for getting on and off the Disney buses!). Before our test drive I was sure I was getting the Flare.

I ended up geting the Mac Triumph, after months of opinions and research. It just felt better and both boys liked it better. I got mine at BRU with a coupon and paid around $150. I was really hoping to get something under $100, but BRU had the color my boys liked (if you knew my boys, this is quite an important factor). But shop around online, I'm sure you can get one a little cheaper. Be careful with Ebay though, I've read that some of the ebay stores are not licensed sellers and therefore the warranty is not valid.

I love my mac quest. We got it for our Sept. trip when db was just 6 months - We are returning in June and he'll be around 16 months and we are still taking our mac. My only gripe is the basket - you can't get to it so it might as well not even be there. For this reason I was considering looking for another one. Any suggestions?

The silver cross dazzle is the nearly similar to the techno the difference w/ the dazzle is that the basket has velcro sides so that when the seat is relined it can be accessed. Another option you might want to look into is a skip hop saddle bag.
