Columbus day?

Hi All
We have planned to go for our first trip on 10/9 for a week.
10/11 is Columbus day should we switch to a week when schools are open?

I keep posting in the wrong threads sorry.

However, there is a chance I may be at WDW the same time as you, my dh is in Iraq and we wont' know his leave time until he gets home but think it'll be in that time frame.

As for the crowds, the guidebook I have says the crowds will be a bit biggger that weekend and Monday.
