Columbus Day

Hi! I am a long-time lurker on the boards, and this is my first post. I'm thinking of driving down to Disneyland October 5-8, and I'm wondering if Columbus Day and the weekend before is any busier than an average October weekend? If it is, then we might move it to the weekend of October 19th. Thanks for any advice.

I would say yes. Only because locals whose kids are out of school will go for the day.. Also some year round schools might already have a break.
On our school calender for our district. We are not off that day.. We were not last year either.

I was at WDW over columbus day (2003) and it was full. It was a mistake to go to the park that we choose, but hey. We made it and lived with it..


Also the place will be decorated quite cool...

I think Gay Days falls on that weekend this year. That would increase crowds along with the Columbus Day weekend. I would wait until the 19th if it was me.
