Columbus Day Week-Availability

Hi!!! Planning our first trip in October...looking forward to FWF and MNSSHP. What are our chances of getting a two bedroom at that time We are planning on going the week of Columbus Day.
Our resort preference in order:
BWV
BCV
SSR
I can't book until March for the first two...our home resort is SSR....should I just book that one now and then try to trade

If you really want to go at that time I would book SSR now to be sure you have some place to stay and then try to switch at the 7 month mark.

I don't think you have to book SSR now, I think that will still be available at the 7 month window. Wait until then to try to get into BWV or BCV, unless you're dying to talk to MS and get something definite.

Last year we were able to switch into the BWV's at the 7 month mark for a week that ended on Columbus Day. It was a preferred view 2BR but it was available.

Though you perhaps do not have to book SSR now, given that it is FW, MNSSHP, and PGA tour time in October, and the fact that SSR will use fewer points than your other options there is no reason not to be on the safe side and nail down a reservation now, IMHO.
