Columbia SC Hotel Question

I am toying with the idea of going to the Miley Cyrus concert in Columbia in November. (yes, there are some good seats left!) We would leave the morning of the show and spend one night then come home. It's at the Colonial Life arena. Can someone suggest some acceptable (and safe) hotels near the arena for just one night? I've never been to Columbia, so I'm totally lost with this.

Try the courtyard Marriott at USC. I believe it's right across the street. We've stayed there twice this year already, and have two trips planned for later in the year. (DS is going to college at USC). Ask for a queen room not a suite room--the suite rooms are a little noisier due to adjoining doors. It's on the edge of the USC campus. We've walked around a bunch at night in the area and felt perfectly safe. Good luck!
