So I've heard pretty much nothing but excellent reviews of CHH at Magic Kingdom...what do you all think of it? The pros and the cons? Also, we purchased the DDP Quick Service Dining...is this restaurant considered a quick service dining establishment? Thanks!!! (PS - 2 DAYS TILL DISNEY!!)

I have yet to try Columbia Harbour House, but I plan to this trip. You can absolutely use the quick service dining plan there. Enjoy!

I really love this place - I definitely ate here twice on my last trip! It is QS meal on the dining plan. The only con I can think of is that it can be crowded/busy/hectic during peak meal times, but obviously you will find that at any WDW dining location. I think for the money it is pretty good quality food and a little bit different from the average QS meal at MK. The additional seating upstairs also makes it easier to find a seat.

It's good for what it is. And it's a nice change from the usual QS dining options. But be warned-fried fish & Chicken, cold soda and hot days can make for a very upset tummy:sick:

I always get the tuna sandwich and we sit upstairs where it's quieter. It's my favorite QS restaurant.

we found it to be good, not great... upstairs is a nice getaway and a great view, 'cept it's a huge hassle if you have a stroller or wheelchair (it's do-able, just ask, but not easy)...

This is my favorite QS in all the parks. it. There is plenty of seating in this restaurant. Love the chowder and tuna sandwich. I'm not a big eater and I usually only eat half the sandwich, sometimes share with DH other times wrap it up and have it later. I always bring zip-lock bags in my backpack because I rarely eat a whole sandwich.

The other favorite is Yak & Yeti at AK.

Pros: We really enjoyed the food at CHH. DW liked the hummus sandwich very much. I had the fish and chicken combo -- in general, I'd recommend going with just the fish, which is quite good. The chicken is just he same ol' nuggets they serve everywhere.

Cons: It's CS, and pretty crowded at main meal times like most are. The lines and struggles for seating (especially when dealing with high chairs and/or boosters) can be off-putting, as with most reasonably popular CS places.

Regarding the QSDP, if you're looking at it meal-by-meal, CHH isn't the best use of a CS credit as it's on the lower end of CS, price-wise. That said, you can afford to be suboptimal on some meals if you're getting good value elsewhere during you stay.

I second this. Based on reviews, I was expecting great and it wasn't. Ordering was extremely hectic. The tuna sandwich (I love tuna) was just ok, nothing to write home about - there wasn't much tuna on it but the bread was good. The rest of our meals were just ok as well.

I thought it was ok. I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it. I never really got all of the rave reviews on here. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.:confused3

It struck me as dark and dirty, but I guess the darkness is a nice break from the hot sunshine. Food I thought was mediocre/average at best. Never had a problem getting a table.

I know...I'm in the minority not being a CHH lover, so no flames please.:goodvibes

I don't think I could go to MK without this place :goodvibes. I love the tuna and the quiet atmosphere upstairs. It is quite hectic at peak lunch time.

Hi
Tis our fav CS in the MK if not all the parks. We ate 3 times here last September on the dining plan.

Initially does look very busy all the time when you first enter but upstairs has loads of seats with some nice views if you can get a window table.

Chowder is great but i especially love the fish and chicken basket. Can't imagine anyone going here and not enjoying it tbh :)

Have a great time!

Love this place. We usually go at 11;30 before crowd and nicely air conditioned nice atmosphere and smell of the food is awesome. I usually get my chicken salad w/choco cake. My daughter had a fried shrimp & chicken nugget platter which was really good.

CHH is one of our favorite CS and usually where we start our vacation, lunch right after we arrive. The tuna sandwich and the hummus sandwich are my favorites, a nice change from burgers and fries. We sit upstairs and watch the crowds go by...:)

Our kids love it for the nuggets and fries. I'd like it if they added a grilled chicken sandwich or salad. I don't really care for tuna or hummus.

We were the only people upstairs on one of our trips and it felt very secluded. The food was good and not a burger or pizza-which was exactly what we were hoping for.
