Columbia Harbor House

Always a must do. It's one of my favorites.

There are a lot of rooms and some of the smaller area's are very peaceful. MK can be a hectic place at times and I love to stop in here and relax, grab a bit to eat and chill out for a while.

This is a great counter service option. I loved the shrimp basket last year. It was very busy in there when we went in October.

Another positive review! I love the fried fish...I think the portion size is perfect. We also get there right at 11 to beat the crowds and end up with a nice quiet lunch. Love it! :cool1:

Wow, this place sounds great! Yummy shrimp and a nice quiet place to eat it! We have never been before but are definetly going to try it in August! Thanks everyone!:thumbsup2

Ever since they added the shrimp plate I get this. It has about 8 large shrimp with fries and very good cole slaw. If they ever do a fish/shrimp combo, I'll be over the top.

When did they add the shrimp basket??

We always eat there, but now I'm worried about cross contamination with the chicken and shrimp....DS has a shellfish allergy.

We ate there this past January right when they opened for the day.
Really enjoyed the clam chowder (we're not from NE :) ) and DD loves their Mac & Cheese. Like PPs said, it's a good option other than burgers.
DH had the fish and he liked it too.

With all these great reviews, I will make sure we try Columbia Harbor House when we go in two weeks :dance3:

Columbia Harbour House is easily my favorite counter service location in the Magic Kingdom, and I go there for lunch just about every trip. I particularly like the tuna sandwich and hummus sandwich but will indulge in the fried items when I'm feeling particularly skinny. ;)

I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal there. And like almost everybody else has mentioned, the upstairs section is a wonderful hidden gem. I love sitting by the window that looks out on The Haunted Mansion queue and watching people get in line!

We've always gotten the shrimp platter and love it!! We'd love to try the tuna though. Does the tuna salad have onion in it? We don't care for onion, so that has always held us back.

They added the shrimp sometime in '09. In Jan they didn't have it, but in Dec they did. Must have been summer, cause I anticipated it for months.

Speaking of CHH... I know that they often close early (which is why that's usually our lunch choice). In late July we are probably only going to arrive at MK for the afternoon/evening. Does anyone know if they typically stay open for dinner at that time of year?

I only have anecdotal evidence, but I have definitely seen Columbia Harbour House open at 9 p.m. and even later. It definitely serves dinner.

does anyone know if they have melted cheese like at casey's, pecos bills, and cosmic rays? that's a deal breaker for me :)

You asked this question right as I was making my last post! Columbia Harbour House does not have the hot melted cheese like at Pecos Bill. Sorry to disappoint!

My husband, daughter and I just ate there this past Friday. I thought the food was great! My husband got the fried fish basket and thought it was very good. I got the tuna sandwich, and it was delish. DD5 got the chicken nuggets and she really liked them. It was a great last meal at the World! I'm SOOOOO ready to go back! :woohoo:

thanks! i'll have to suffer with ketchup  we really want to try this place next month!! we always do dxddp, but we will have the ddp for 2 days prior in our split stay :) looks good!!!

The shrimp at Columbia Harbor House is amazing, and they give quite a lot. If you are a shrimp lover I suggest Cooke’s of Dublin at DTD.

this is our favorite CS in MK. we go every trip!! :) The shrimp meal is our favorite and we love the clam chowder and apple dessert!! :) Cant wait til July now to go back!!

Well, we just got back from another wonderful vacation (sniff, sniff, tear in my eye), and we had another lovely lunch at Columbia. I got the tuna, and no I really don't believe it had onion in it. I don't like onion in mine at all, and would have been able to tell. My husband had the fried shrimp this time and said it was great. Oh how I wish we were back to that day!
