Does anyone have a pic of that ever-so-famous tuna sandwich from Columbia Harbor House?

And what makes it so delicious?

DH and I will be on the DxDP in September and I have planned our MK day to include lunch at CHH just for the sandwich that I've read so much about - but is it really that good? :confused3

Don't know what makes it that special, :confused3 it is just disneyliscious! If you feel like it try the BLT Salad - it goes well with the sandwich ;)

Thank you for the post!

The bread looks delicious... that might be what makes the sandwich so yummy! :goodvibes

The bread, and the atmosphere (being in the MK) isn't bad either!:cool1:

I think I remember reading that they took the sweet relish out of it... Anyone that's had one recently, can you tell me if that's true? I know I might be in the minority, but I LOVE sweet relish in my tuna!

This sandwich is a must for us. It wouldn't be right if we didn't get it on a trip.

I really want to try this... can anyone tell me if it has onion in the tuna mix? or is it just a tuna/mayo mix with lettuce and tomato?

It's not so much an extraordinarily good tuna sandwich.

It's that it's a CHANGE from the standard burger/fries/chicken strips/pizza fast food offerings everywhere else. After eating that stuff for a couple of days, a FRESH TUNA SANDWICH with FRESH tomatoes, and lettuce, on FRESHLY toasted bread just tastes...well, pretty darned good.

Give me that same tuna sandwich at any restaurant here at home and I'll probably say "ehh...it's okay". But at CHH, after a few days of greasy, fried, sugary junk food...that sandwich feels like a nice healthy dose of YUMMINESS. :cloud9:

This is exactly how I feel, too! And I loved it even more when I could get a 1/2 sandwich with the cup of veggie chili; it was refreshing and I felt so guilt-free eating that meal!

I'm wondering that, too. I've always wanted to try it but was scared it might have onions in it. I HATE onions!

To us it is the change of pace from the normal faire. A nice light alternative to your typical burgers and pizza.

Also, it has a pleasant atmosphere which is surprisingly quite for a CS restaurant.

Well, as guilt-free as you can be eating something made with lots of fatty mayo. I know what you mean, though. I love the Anchors Aweigh sandwich, that I'm willing to ignore that it probably had as much fat as any burger. ;)

I used to get the 1/2 sandwich and clam chowder combo. I'm sad they no longer offer the combos.

Sitting upstairs (so quiet), away from the crowds and eating something that isn't fried makes it very special. The tuna is good and the bread is excellent. MMMMMMNNNNNNN:thumbsup2
