Colorblocking question

I checked the FAQ's section but didn't see info on this. What is colorblocking? Is there a pattern for it or do you sort of make it up as you go? Maybe I am doing it already and don't even know!

EK Success also has their own templates - the difference between the Deluxe Designs and EK templates is the following:

DD has more templates & various sizes - about 10 per size
6x6; 8.5x11 & 12x12

EK has only 4 per size - 12x12 definately and maybe 8.5x11 BUT the templates are set up to crop the photo and a slightly larger mat - so if you always mat your photos/accents it may be easier to work with these.

Check out DDs idea book Absolutely Deluxe Colorblocking.

I like it because you can put lots of photos on a page without it looking messy/overloaded.

cyndi, your link took me to the post about the scrapbook purse. Was there something to do with colorblocking there?

I guess I will have to look for templates. Seems like I am spending so much money since venturing out from Creative Memories and was trying to find soemthing that I didn't have to buy. Guess I was spending lots with CM too though.

What great links those all were. At first I was thinking it was like matting a picture but now I see what it is. Looks like lots of fun and something else to try. I sure am loving trying other ways than CM. Thanks.
