I know that both of these areas offer ziplining and water rafting. I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience and has anything to share. Which of these do you think is the better area for this.

We have been to Colorado several times......never doing these activities, and have never been to Wisconsin.

I live in Wi and would say Colorado, I didn't know that you could do both of them in the dells....there is lots of cool things to do in the Dell just dont know about rafting and ziplining...

Colorado. Look at Salida/Buena Vista. Best rafting in the country. Plus, when you aren't doing activities you have this to look at...

I would say Colorado to and I use to live in the Dells, trying to move back there as we speak actually...I don't know of any areas you could really do water rafting like you could in Colorado..yes lots of places now have the ziplines but i haven't been on them yet so sorry no first hand experience there

As far as I know, there is no water rafting in the Dells. Ziplines, yes...but I don't think there is any comparison between WI and CO.

I'd pick CO. :)

Sounds like Colorado is the way to go.........anyone have any suggestions on a specific water rafting adventure or zipline tour?

OMG there's no comparison whatsover, they're as different as night and day.

Most definitely Colorado.

The Dells might be fun for an overnight getaway (think touristy) but hands down, CO has it all. If you're looking for touristy, you can find it in CO too. But in addition you'll also find an abundance of outdoor activities, wildlife, shopping :) and natural beautiy. You could spend months there and not see or do it all.

(No I don't live there but have visited many times and hope to many more times in the future!)

Good choice :thumbsup2 We were posting at the same time.
When I get home tonight I will look into my travel brochures and notes and try to find some names for you.

Ummmmm --- hmmmmmmm -- let me think :rolleyes1

Great picture of Bueny - CowboyCO!! My husband grew up there, and was indeed - a river raft guide!!

What time of year, and where have you previously visited here?

We've been to Denver, COlorado SPrings, area. Seen Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge......been on many mtn roads just driving..........also driven thru COlorado on our way home from Yellowstone... I also went as a kid.

We are looking to go sometime in June or July........

Wisconsin is a beautiful state but Colorado is in a different league. Wisconsin Dells is really just a tourist area with lots of water parks.
