Colleges in New York City??

does anybody know of any good colleges in Manhattan (new york city)?? i am looking for colleges near me where i dont have to dorm and that have good architecture programs. perferably city colleges.

Well, there's NYU and Columbia...
and Juliard and Five Towns for performing arts...
but I don't really know of any others...

How close are you to downtown Brooklyn? There's Polytechnic Institute, right near the Manhattan Bridge, which has an excellent architecture program. And Cooper Union in lower Manhattan also is tops. Cooper Union is hard to get into, but if you do, every student receives a full scholarship.

As previously stated, NYU, Columbia and Polytech are great schools. But if you are looking for something that is lower in cost, I would suggest City College of New York, which is part of the City University system.

Pace University has an NYC campus - I have 4 friends going there in the fall.

And definitely College Board's website; they have a "matchmaker" where you put in all your interests (location, size, public/private, majors, sports, extracurriculars, etc) and it will come back with colleges that fit your specifications. Then, each school has a page full of info. Location, stats about accepted students (SAT scores, GPAs, what the college looks for in its students) plus costs and a whole lot more. VERY helpful.
