I know that from time to time there are threads wondering about how to get the best prices for used textbooks - sell them to the bookstore, Amazon marketplace, ebay, or sell them an online bookstore.
I have sold on ebay and back to the campus bookstore and I have used Jitterbook and collegetextbookbuyers with no problems. Heck, with Jitterbook, I got my money within a week (give or take) of when they got my books.
To get to the point, I tried a different website last semester - ecampus. They have pretty good prices for books and they offered the most for a couple of books I was selling. They received my books on FEBRUARY 19th and I still haven't seen a dime from them. They always respond to my emails, telling me they are busy and to give them 2-4 more weeks. Now that 12 weeks have passed, I officially feel ripped off.
I just wanted to pass that along in case any other Dis'ers were looking for a place to sell some textbooks - I'd avoid that site at all costs and needless to say, I won't ever be doing business with them again.
On a happier note, I'm out for summer and officially half-way done with school!
