Hey guys, a group of friends and I are looking to book a long weekend sometime this July to go to Animal Kingdom and see Pandora. I'm wondering if anyone has advice on where to stay. We'd probably only really need a room for a Saturday night, maybe a Friday night. We'd be driving, so airport location and transportation isn't a factor, but parking may be. Also, Disney allows anyone over the age of 18 to book, but does anyone know of cheaper places that would also allow this? While Disney is convenient, I'd prefer to not break the bank!
If anyone has any tips or experience, it would be much appreciated!

Disney does book to 18 and older so that is a safe one. Look at the Value resorts and compare to offsite resorts. Always add $20 per day to park if you choose offsite.

Other resorts/hotels, many require you to be 21. Even within a brand it varies so you would have to check each hotel.

This one is 18, just outside Disney Springs and good option.

For only 1 or 2 nights, I would look to DVC owners and see if you can get a place at AKL. You can do cheap but factor in parking it will almost come out as a wash.

My DS graduated a couple of years ago and is leaving this weekend to meet up with some college friends. This is a real budget trip. He got a room off Hotwire for under $40 a night. They aren't real picky, but I will report back if it is nice and worth the money.
