I am getting married in May (21-27) and taking my soon to be wife on our honeymoon. I made reservations at the Carribean Beach Resort. Can you reccomend anything I should arrange to make it extra special? Also...where are some affordable/romantic places to dine. What other kinds of things inside Disney should a newlywed couple do...besides hang out in the hotel room?!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon!

There are lots of things to do in Disney that aren't outrageously expensive. Lots of folks on this board will have ideas, everyone is SO helpful!

One thing that DH and I find very romantic and it's free (well, park admission) is the Wishes fireworks at MK. I enjoy walking through the rose path at EPCOT. You can visit any of the other resorts and explore, which we think is fun. See a movie outdoors at Ft. Wilderness and take the water launch to WL or CR. There is a cute restaurant at CB that is not too expensive (and serves fabulous drinks) inside the food court that, since your staying there, you might want to check out. I would suggest calling DFTW and asking them for honeymoon recommendations. You can have chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in your room when you arrive, flowers, or anything really. Just remember, it will be special no matter what, after all it's your honeymoon :goodvibes

Congrats!! There a plenty of romantic things to do such as all the fireworks shows or taking a casual stroll through all the countries at Epcot. As we all know, Disney is not a cheap place but for a place to eat you could try GF Cafe' or Le Cellier. They still have the fancy food but are just a little bit lower on the price scale than V&A or California Grill

get the free were on our honeymoon buttons at guest services at one of the themeparks.

the martinique rooms at cbr seem to be on the quietier less kids side when we stayed there back in 03. as for something special there arrange for wine/champagne or strawberries (room service), flowers or balloons (disney floral) to be in the room, or mickey & minnie bride/groom ears (disney merchandising).

epcot world showcase is so fun to stroll around, shop & eat at. our favorites are le cellier in canada superb soup & filets, alfredos in italy great homemade fetticine alfredo, bistro de paris is intimate & romantic, the biergarten in germany all you can eat buffet.

the boardwalk is also fun & romantic at night. we also like kiminos at the swan good sushi & fun karoake at night. you can get there easily by boat from mgm or epcot.

Where exactly in the park can I get those honeymoon buttons? Great idea on the strawberries and champagne.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. YOu can get the buttons at Guest Services at any of the parks I belive. (I know they have birthday buttons at the parks).

One thing you can do that is low cost is take a carriage ride! It was $35.00 for a half hour ride. We took the one out of Ft. Wilderness for his bday this january. You could also take the carriage ride at Port Orleans Riverside resort.

Its always nice looking around the different resorts. If you take the transportation boats from the back of the Contemporary to Ft. Wilderness or Wilderness lodge that is actually a nice FREE ride, you get to check out the resorts and take a nice ride back!

Have fun!

We got these on our honeymoon a few months ago...we picked ours up the first day at the MK...when you walk in the guest services is on your left I believe...just go up to the counter and ask for the honeymoon buttons. They are free and teamed with the bride and groom mouse ears will definitely get you lots of attention from cast members and other guests alike!!! COngratulations.

When my husband and I were on our honeymoon in Oct. 2004, I made us t-shirts, which admittedly were a little corny, but everyone commented on them!! Mine said "Honey" and his said "mooners" but all day long we were walking with him on the left and me on the right, and CM's kept yelling out, "Mooners, Honey!" It was hilarious! And the most romantic time we had was dinner at Ohana, and afterward we went out onto the beach at the Poly and watched Wishes from the beach- it was priceless. Also, I reccomend getting the bride and groom Mickey ears- people all over the park congratulated us- one time we got a standing ovation on our bus!! Talk about some Pixie dust!! :tink:

Thanks for the Advice...Ill Put it to use in May & Report back!!!!

If you don't mind being teased wear your bride and groom ears to Pleasure Island for an evening, especially the Comedy Warehouse and Adventurer's Club.

Ask to ride in the front of the Monorail.

Watch the Electric Water Pageant from a hammock on the Poly beach.

Best wishes as you start your life together. Good luck with your careers.
