Collector's Editions?

I was thinking about today's BATB release, and how there was no collector's/limited/special/extra awesome edition. This stands out in contrast to Snow White's Limited Edition (and I believe there were others). Coupled with the loss of the digital copy disc, I'm rather disappointed.

I was just wondering if anybody had any theories as to why BATB didn't merit a collector's edition, or what movie they would like to see offered with such a package. I think it's pretty easy to guess which one I was hoping for.

the target edition comes with free cd.
there's another BATB coming out to DVD 11/23/2010. Just DVD no Blu Ray and DVD....just DVD.

A free CD is nice, but I was ready to spend in the $150 range for something like the SW limited edition package. Instead, I picked up the combo pack from my local megamart for $12.99. Disney loses, I lose.

Really? I had no idea that just the DVD was coming out 11/23/10 because I don't need the 2 blu ray discs!

Hmm, I just got a new laptop, maybe they'll work on it?

Not sure what more you're looking-for, OP -- I thought Disney packed quite a bit into the BR/DVD combo!

Disney has changed things a bit -- they now offer the "Iron Pack", which is equivalent to the "Steelbooks" that certain Blu-ray collectors covet (those are normally exclusive to Best Buy stores in the U.S. and Future Shop in Canada).

How were the sales figures of the Snow White Collectors Edition(s)? If they were too low, then the cost to develop may have been too great versus the pipeline of other products that needed to get to market before Christmas.

Just a thought.

Has anyone used this site 'supaswap-ps3 dot com although its a gaming site the links to its home page allow you to swap out old items for other stuff including Disney items you may have not found elswhere
You would be amazed at what people want to get rid of or swap out

Hope this is of interest
