Does anyone have a good suggestion on getting a collapsible/folding cooler to use in the room? I know that refrigerator's are available for an extra charge. But, we'd like to avoid the extra cost, if possible.

So, if anyone knows a good brand and a place to get one, that would be helpful. Thanks!

We bought one at Target, it has a solid plastic liner and a soft outside, can be used with or without the liner. Honestly, without the liner, it doesn't work as well, we had to refill with ice twice a day. Next time, if we don't have a fridge, we will pack it as a carry on with the liner in it. Otherwise, on our other trip, we stopped at the grocery store and bought a styrofoam one, that worked great, then just left it there when we went home.

I'm taking a collapsable cooler by Igloo I borrowed from a friend. It will hold a twelve pack and collapses down enough to fit in a suitcase. I don't know where she got it, but I'd assume Walmart, Target or Kmart would carry them. This one I have, has got a compartment as part of the lid for dry stuff....just enough room for a couple sandwiches. I just hope it doesn't get leaky. My friend uses it for tailgate parties & stuff and said that it doesn't leak, but it tends to "sweat" a bit.

Ah yes, sweating was a huge problem with ours without the liner. We had to keep it on a towel, because it was getting the carpet quite wet.

I have an igloo and I put the ice in several large ziplock freezer storage bags. I had no trouble with the water leaking out and no trouble with condensation either. I only need to refill the ice once a day. Our's is large enough to fit 24 sodas but I only put 1/2 that amount in and fill the rest with ice so that may be why it stayes a bit longer. Also we were there when it was not as humid as it is during the summer.

We also have the kind you can use with or without the plastic liner. I took the liner out, folded it up, and packed it. It came in handy when returning home. We had bought so much stuff, and had nothing to put it in. Took out the cooler, wrapped up breakables in t-shirts and filled the cooler. Checked it in at the airport. Worked out great cuz I almost had to buy one of Disney's suitcases. ;) (I really want one, but the price is outrageous)

We bought a collapsable cooler last year while on a trip from vegas to arizona and DL and back to vegas. It is called a Frozn (that is the correct spelling) cooler by InGear and we bought it at Walmart. It has served its purpose for a year with a lot of wear and tear. It will fit 24 cans of soda with ice and does NOT leak. We bought it to throw in our suitcase when we came home on the plane and figured it probably would not last long. Boy were we wrong and we have used it more often than any hard sided cooler we have.

We have a collapsible cooler by Arctic Zone. It zippers on the top and velcros shut when collapsed. I think it's a 12 can size. It's big enough for a half quart of milk and a half quart of juice, plus assorted juice boxes and beer bottles :).

It does not leak, but it does "sweat" as others have mentioned. Not a big deal, we just put a towel under it. We fill it twice a day, once before we go to the parks and again when we come back.

We got one at Wal-Mart it worked great and cost about 10 bucks.

One tip though you may want to keep it in the tub when you are out and about they can get kinda wet as the ice melts (even with a liner inside) and you can then dump out the melted ice easily in the tub and add more ice each day. When you are using the tub/shower just put it on the bathroom floor.

Also you may want to take a few gallon size zip lock bags to hold ice in the cooler or items in the cooler you dont want to get wet as the ice melts.

I bought a cooler from RiteAid 2 years ago, I think it was by Artic... I have used it every vacation since. It collapses and velcros small when not in use. It has a handle that pulls out like a suitcase and wheels so it's easy to pull when full. I have brought this full of food to the airport and checked it in and also closed it up and threw it in a suitcase, or just checked it by itself when empty. I use to buy a styophom one and leave it when we left but they always seemed to crack and break before our vacation was over and boy was that a mess....

We brought a collapsible cooler with us.
It holds two 6 packs of soda.

We did a 'grocery stop' on our way to the Dolphin.
We bought a styrafoam cooler.
We used the styrafoam cooler for 10 days.
No leak problems.

We never used the collapsible cooler.
It just took up space in our suitcase.

Styrafoam coolers is our way to go form now on :)

Walmart has a coleman cooler with a handle that holds 3 or 4 times a much stuff as a collapable cooler. It is better insulated than the collapsables, rigid, doesn't sweat and best of all it's $9.97. For that price (less than 1 days refrdgerator rental) you can toss it on your last day if you are flying. I tried the collapsable kind on my last cruise with poor results. This is all based on a rental car or some other way of getting to Walmart! Which reminds me, the only Walmart I am familiar with near the World is the one on 192 in Kissimmee. Anyone know of one closer? :D

Got a collapsible, rolling cooler at Sears. It's about 18" square when full size. When collapsed, it's not real small. One side just moves toward the back wheels so it's about 6" deep. Hard to describe. The wheels and handle set up is just like rolling luggage. Handle collapses down. No removeable liner and will hold alot!

It was $30.
