Was at Riverside for 10 days 1st-10th Nov.
We were in building 80 right next to a quiet pool, we decided to try it out and while it was nice warm weather, the sun had gone in, we got in but it took us ages to get in fully as it was really cold and when we were fully submerged we didn't stay in for long. We decided to try the main pool on ol man island a day later and this wasn't much better, slightly warmer but not alot, although the hot tub was lovely and warm, didn't want to get out!! We swam in the quiet pool another time when the sun was shining and it was lovely but if the sun went behind a cloud it got cold quickly again.
We went to Typhoon Lagoon and all the pools were lovely and warm, no problem there. I have been to the Polynesian at the same time of year and the pools were warm there too, i thought the pools were meant to be heated?
I really didn't feel they were, the only complaint i had about our stay really.

When we stayed at POR 2 years ago, I have to agree, the pools were cold. We were also there in the month of February so I thought maybe that was why. But when we stayed at the CR last year, the pool was just as cold.
We are going back there in Feb. 06(POR) just because we loved the landscaping and all. Hoping for warmer pools this time!!

We were just at POR in the beginning of October and I agree about the cold pools. We tried a quiet pool (I couldn't even get in it was so cold!) and Old Man Island. OMI was a little warmer, but not warm enough for me to be completely comfortable in it. (I have to add that I am a Florida native so I am a tad wimpy about cold. :rolleyes1 )

I have read that in cooler months all of the Disney pools are heated to 84 F. Perhaps Disney doesn't turn on the heat pumps until later in the year for certain resorts?

We found the POR quiet pool by building 80 cool two weeks ago also. By contrast, though, last November it was way too warm and you felt like you were stepping into the bathtub! There must be a happy medium somewhere!
