Well, We leave on Sun. and will be there until Thurs. The weather looks to be rainy 2 days and only in the 60's all days. What do I pack? Winter coats? I see that is says high 40's and low 50's for lows, but I am not really an outdoors person, so will this feel really cold. It seems that heavy winter coats will be cumbersome. I need ideas..
Yesterday, it said 70's each day and today it has dropped 10 degrees. :guilty:

Bring ponchos for the rainy days. It probably won't rain as hard as a summer storm, but they are easier to remove and pack away when it stops.

For 60s, I would wear a fleece jacket. If it going to be windy, or you are going to spend time at Epcot (usually windy in my experience), wear something that blocks the wind better.

60 degree weather is not "break out the snow suits" weather, by any means.

I believe we will be having low 70s during the day. Nice weather, really.

Ted

Take clothes that can be layered, that way if your get too hot, you can take something off, or if you get to cold, you can add a layer. If you take the ponchos, they are good at keeping you dry and keeping the wind out.

We were there 3 January's ago... same situation, only the highs were in the upper 40's and the nights were at freezing. I remember going to E Ticket night and the wind chill was 23 degrees. The next morning when we went to MK, we were scraping ice from the seats of the Aladdin ride.

Layer up, and you will be fine.... also, make sure to take a hat for your head. You would be surprised at how much that helps keep you warmer.... gloves are a good idea, too!

You might want to pack gloves, but I sincerely doubt you will be needing them.

Believe me, temps in the high 602, low 70s are actually pretty nice. Especially if you are from a cooler climate.

We leave next Friday and Accuweather is prediciting high 60's low 70's during the day and high 40's low 50"s at night. We plan on bringing gloves and hats and the water proof windbreakers with the sweatshirt type lining. We will be layering during the day with t-shirts and sweatshirts to tie around our waists and then putting on the jackets during the evenings. Hats really do help keep the heat in! We will take our ponchos and if it rains go to AK which is our favorite park in the rain.

I guess it really depends on where you are coming from. If you are coming from AZ, it might be a little chilly. If you are coming from Michigan, it will be fine. :)

Ted,
Where are you seeing the forecast? On weather.com it says rainy and 60's on Sun. and Mon. and Partly sunny and 60's on Tues. Wed. and Thurs.

Carrieberry,

We're leaving Friday, too!! I am so excited about the weather. I HATE hot weather. For me, 60 to 70 is ideal. We're trying to figure out layers for each of us. We may be doing some shopping this weekend--between two basketball games and a gymnastics meet!

Have fun on your trip!

Lisa :D

Layers is the best advice. It will be cooler when you get around lakes but warmer in other areas.

We went last year (from Texas) in Jan with the 40/50-60/70 forecast. We wore jeans, long sleeve shirts. I bought Cuddleduds, silky 'long underwear' for the cooler mornings/evenings and just took it off in the bathroom when it warmed up and stuffed it in my backpack. I wore my fleece jacket and had a nylon rain jacket..I actually wore both jackets one morning!! The nylon rain jacket really kept me warm.
