In the grand scheme of the world, this is a pretty minor thing, but thought I'd ask...
My 9 year old has an allergy to cold (breaks out in hives when exposed to cold temperatures). Even when the temperatures are warm(ish) out, she can break out coming out of a pool being wet and cool-er. At home, the beach, hotel pool, we can deal with this- she takes allergy medicine and she swim until she's done, then she changes into dry clothes. Needless to say, this wouldn't work getting in/out at a water park. So- my question, are there any accomodations that can be made? I'm envisioning somehow if she could stand in line with a fleece on. But then what to do with it? Putting it in a big ziplock, would they let me carry it down the slide with me?
We're going in April, so who knows if it will be warm enough to swim anyway. I haven't even brought up the waterparks, thinking it wouldn't be the best idea for her. Thought I'd ask, though, if anyone else has dealt with this or had any suggestions.
Thanks!
