Is it true that there are no coffeemakers in the value Resort rooms? Please day it isn't so!

I'm sorry but I don't think there is. I've been looking at small 1 cup coffee makers today. Thinking of just taking one with me. We are staying at all star sports and read today that touch down is now considered preferred. :sad1: So no running over to the cafeteria for my coffee. I know how sore my feet get after a few days lol

It's true! Bummer I know.

Last year at pop I stopped by the cafeteria in the evening and filled up refillable mug with coffee and popped it in the fridge to enjoy as iced coffee in the morning while getting ready.

This year I'm buying a cheap little single cup maker to bring down!

We packed one of these:
Bella, $20 at Amazon.

How sad! I love my morning coffee. Come on, Disney, you can't put coffee in the values?!

Thanks everyone. Guess I'll be packing up a coffeemaker!

We are SOL buttttt at least we can get coffee in the dining room. Consider a break from cleaning the coffee pot our vacation extra! I hear that the coffee in the dining room is not great. Here's to hoping for the best.

I bring a Black & Decker single cup travel one - it's about $17 on Amazon. I also pack espresso ground coffee, and it's much better than what is in the food courts. I bring disposable coffee cups, and get sweetener from the food court. It doesn't take up that much luggage space.

I didn't know the values didn't have coffee makers in the rooms, even budget hotels usually have coffee makers so I'm suprised Disney deceided to leave that out at the value resorts. A small single serve Keurig would be ideal to travel with though if you had room for it, I know the moderate and deluxe resorts have coffee makers but part of me wants my Keurig even in those rooms!

This is what I'm looking at buying! Mind sharing which one you have?

I hate that there are no coffee makers in the rooms :sad2: I am bringing Starbucks instant iced coffee packets with me this September which I think will help since it is so hot during that time.

My husband and I had the refillable mugs and we just got coffee from the dining hall. We bought our own creamer but there is creamer available. It wasn't that inconvenient but we were staying in Calypso at ASMu

If the values have all the amenities same as the moderates, there is less motivation for people to book moderates.

There are lots of other ways the Mods are different than the values. A coffeemaker is really quite a small thing and is pretty standard in all hotels and resorts that cost upwards of $100 a night. I'll deal with it, I booked it, but really.

I go with a small electric kettle and tea bag style coffee. It's still a bit of bulk for the light traveler. It saves me from having to streak down to get coffee in the morning.

Very few budget motels (Motel 6, Knight's Inn, Red Roof Inn, etc.) offer in-room coffee makers. The cost of supplies (filters, cups, sugar & cream, single-serving packages of the coffee itself, etc.) as well as maintenance of the coffee maker (cleaning, repair & replacement) can easily add up to a few bucks per day and when you're operating on tight margins (the average nightly room rate of budget properties is in the $60 range), that's a huge expense.

While the value resorts are certainly nicer properties than virtually any budget motel, I imagine that profit margins would be quite similar. Recall that for years, the values had bulk shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom as opposed to individualized bottles.

If the values have all the amenities same as the moderates, there is less motivation for people to book moderates.

People choose the moderates because they offer a much more premium resort experience. When the All-Star Sports first opened, the room was virtually identical to that of the moderates - only slightly smaller.

The value resorts generally cost about half that of the moderates -- I doubt many people are going to decide to upgrade their experience based on the absence of in-room coffee :).
