coffee served at disney

My husband says that it was the best coffee he has ever had in his life and I was wondering if anyone knew the brand they serve at Disney World.?

There are many who will disagree that it is good.... usually we see only complaints about coffee on this board

The Poly has a nice Kona blend they use, and AKL has an african coffee that is very good... I believe everywhere else is nescafe - but maybe another DIS'er knows for sure.

Personally I like the coffee at the restaurants but at the parks sometimes it can be bitter.

I have to agree with >>^..^<<. The one thing I do not look forward to when visiting the "magic" is the coffee. It's awful. I guess it's due to the water they use.

And the water .................... that's another thread! LOL

Well, I thought I had read everything on these boards, but this has got to be a first!

He really likes the coffee? I believe it's Nescafe (instant???) as another poster said.

I think it's the most awful swill I've ever tasted and I'm not a picky coffee drinker. I don't think it's the water though. We learned to bring our own coffee and we use tap water. I can't tell any difference between it and home.

Of course, maybe our water is awful too and we're just used to it.

I'm not a fan of Nescafe but LOVE a good cup of coffee. To my delight, they do have Starbucks at Tubby's Buffeteria in the Dolphin Resort!


note to self: get to AKL & Poly to try the coffee!

you guys haven't been recently and he hasn't had the latest and greatest WDW coffee. I think it's instant. And it's terrible. However, the kona blend and 100% kona coffee at the Poly is delicious.

This is a good thread becasue I've always wanted to say that I'm a coffee snob and I think good coffee is lacking at WDW. There's the Fountainview Cafe at Epcot and Poly and that's about it. I guess there are vendors throughout World Showcase but I haven't tried them.

Don't shoot me, but I'd love to have a Starbucks nearby. I'm a Starbucks fanatic. I think a Starbucks would fit nicely into Downtown Disney.l

Me again. I just read the post about Starbucks at the Dolphin. Life can go on now! We stay at YC or BC so it'll be easy to walk over and get some good coffee.

I'm a huge coffee drinker, and I have to say I'm a bit surprised that someone really LIKES the WDW coffee. But I will say this - when I have to drag my butt out of bed at 6:00 AM to get to EMH at the parks, I take any port in a storm. For us, it's the coffee at the All Star food courts. Tastes like dishwater, but if you gulp enough of it - it gets the blood circulating!

All that I can say about the coffee at WDW is....Thank Goodness I'm staying at the Poly on our next trip. At least I can get Kona in the a.m.

It is Nescafe instant and it's horrible !!!!

I was at WL 1st week of July. I thought the coffee at Roaring Forks was great.

lol i am surprised to hear this.. i don't drink coffee so i son't know. he had the coffee at the all star movies and donaldsbrekfastaurus (sp).. Oh well I guess he will have to wait till next time to find out what it was thanks everyone

You'd think that WDW world use the same coffe throughtout. Maybe in the restuarants the coffee is better that at the self-service areas. I still think it's the water. I know when I am in other areas of Florida that coffee is bad but not as bad as WDW. I guess when we come in a few weeks I be on the look out for good coffee.
PamNC - FYI coffee at Beaches and Cream is awful. Good to know about Starbucks.
What does everyone think-- Should I start a "where to get a good cup of "Joe" at WDW"??

There is almost always a current thread about WDW coffee - which is Nescafe at almost all locations. The exception is some of the speciality restaurants - the Kona Cafe, I think the restaurant in Morrocco, the Fountainview cafe, the AKL - where they serve the "local" coffee - and the Dolphin, which isn't technically WDW.

We are also coffee snobs - although we won't drink Starbucks. Even their light roasts taste burnt to my husband - who used to be a coffee roaster. But tastes are different - some people like the normal coffee at Disney!

Coffee snobs should think about bringing their own. Bring a press pot and you'll just need to get your hands on hot water.

Don't shoot me, but I'm praying for the day that Disney and Starbucks merge and there's a counter in every park and resort!

I must ask about the Starbucks at the Dolphin - is it just brewed or is there the whole espresso setup? You've got my attention!!!

maybe it is a matter of where you stay or where you get the coffee - but I concur with ur hubby spoiled momma - the coffee we got on the Contemporary concierge floor was excellent - don't know if it was the worlds best but it was awful good
