Hi Everyone... I remember reading somewhere a while ago on the boards about free coffee refills. Can someone let me know where, if still available? My brother-in-law is a huge coffee lover, and a couple of freebies would help expenses... Appreciate any responses! Vakay

Market House on Main Street is where you can get free refills all day with your receipt. I don't drink coffee, but DH does. The thing about DL coffee is that none of it is any good. At Market House though you can have as much of it as you can take at least.

As the PP says, Market House on Main St, and it's not great coffee. I'd be interested in getting the opinion of the OP's BIL of Peet's Coffee, which is served at the Häagen Dasz store in the middle of DTD. That might be the closest place to the DL entrance to get "the good stuff". Compass Books at the west end of DTD is often mentioned as well.

2nd on referencing Market House. You just need to save your receipt and show the clerk for your free refills for the rest of the day. I agree, the coffee is kinda...meh...but it's a great deal for frequent chuggers. ;)

Just a thought: If you preplan a bit, you can make and freeze cold-brewed coffee concentrate at home and check it in your luggage. Store it in the room's fridge and have "free" coffee at your disposal for the trip. A lot better than park coffee and a lot less expensive than several trips/day to the off-campus counters for premium coffee.

Or use the Starbucks dried instant coffee packet thingies for simplicity. :)

Thanks for the replies... My brother-in-law drinks a pot of Folgers, Maxwell House or similar before work, then several cups from convenience stores/gas stations during the day, then another pot for supper/evening. He doesn't like Starbucks. He's not too picky. We're staying at Candy Cane, and they have a complimentary breakfast. So, he can get his fill of coffee in the morning. We're only there for three days (from PA UGH!), so we'll be concentrating on the parks pretty much - not too much extracurricular this time. Maybe on the way in/out we'll try Peet's... otherwise, I'm sure Market House will be fine. Just so he can get his caffeine fix! I... on the other hand... need my sugar fix. So, I'll be having plenty of Tigger Tails! :thumbsup2

That...is a LOT of coffee! :scared1:

Soooo we've always been told we have to keep our original cup (w/the receipt) is this not the case? Have we been carting that empty coffee cup around all day for no reason?? ...I do understand the reduce reuse go green concept, but carrying a crushable cup around all day in a backpack is a pain, if we don't need to do it anymore it would be nice to know!!

Thanks!

I've heard this cup thing too, but I've also read on here that you don't need to keep the cup. The one time DH did this, he did not need to come back with the cup, only the receipt.

You do not need to keep the cup, just the receipt. We were there in mid August and that is what I was told. Worked like a charm when I went back! I thought the coffee was decent, but I am not a very picky coffee person. I liked that they had different flavors. I think it was vanilla and s'mores the day I was there. I got the vanilla. It was yummy!

Thanks!! Watch, with our luck we get the one and only CM who makes us produce the original cup. I think on our next trip down we'll try the refill with no cup and keep the original in the back pack just in case.
